Shared Struggle

Fáilte a chairde

This week I speak about the highs of being seen in the public as someone who has a story and will to inspire others to get better. To the lows of my head telling me different and how my situation now can be sometimes lonely.
I speak about the journey up and down the highest peak of Ireland Twice In One Day. Followed again by highs and lows.

I hope you enjoy!

Failte a chairde ,

I'm totally beside my self this week.... it's so normal and so surreal all at the same time.

I am delighted to be joined by Ciarán Mac Dáibhí.

The man has seen it all!
From fleeing his family home in Belfast at 10 years of age only to be a refugee in Dublin. The getting locked up in the H blocks alongside some of the most famous names we know today from the troubles in the north east 6 counties of Ireland. Teaching Irish to fellow prisoners through the cell door or out the window. To now being a UCC (University College Cork) and working in other Universities around the world.

Ciarán is an exceptionally kind and gentle man and I have the pleasure of having him on this week.

I really hope you all enjoy, get inspired, learn and appreciate this real life legend!

Welcome everyone and thank yo for being here again this week!

I am delighted to be joined by the wonderful Chloe the founder of Boozeless Beours. its a space for women to come together and mingle in a safe environment and help, guide and advise one another on how to live life with zero alcohol, with very little alcohol and this who are just curious about the journey.

We touch on mental health disorders and Chloe speaks about her bipolar disorder and hoe she handles it today. We speak about life growing up after being sexually assaulted how it impacted our behaviour.

Of course we speak about our issues with drink and how it affects everyone different and also the same overall way. I speak about being member of Alcoholics anonymous and how it saved my life.

Therapy is also spoken about and how vital it was and is on both our journeys.

Go raibh míle maith agam Chloe I wish you all the best on your journey x
