Looking briefly in Luke 8:38,39 the demonic & John 4:28, 39 the woman at the well. Sound bytes from Jerry Benson in San Diego addressing LGBT, Exotic Erotic Ball events. I share the ministry’s street preaching distinctives. About a ten-minute version of my personal testimony and more...
I was at an evangelism conference once when one of the brothers had suggested when asked if we should be sharing our personal testimony out there in the streets, he commented: nobody wants to hear about your life. Well this rather abrupt answer is a stark reality. Sometimes out there in the streets you get the idea that you're casting your pearls before swine, and the more in-depth you get with your personal testimony people can get very insulting and negative.
Having said that however, we look to the Bible we see that personal testimony was given in the means of evangelism. The first one that comes to mind is the Apostle Paul. He recounted his conversion before the Jewish crowds and also before King Agrippa. In this episode we do want to look at what the Bible says about sharing your personal testimony; what we should be sharing and what we shouldn't be sharing.
