We discuss our thoughts on the Black Widow movie.  Many people thought this character was well overdue for her own film.   Was the film worth the wait?

We also have a sobering conversation on some important topics this movie brought to mind including the horrors of human trafficking (that still occurs today).  And where can a person turn if they think they have made too many mistakes to have any hope for redemption?

Please note:  There are FULL SPOILERS ahead.  Also,  this segment was recorded before the announcement of a lawsuit against Disney (Parent company of Marvel) and Black Widow star (Scarlett Johansson) involving compensation. We will discuss that in a future episode.

All of this and more and our next exciting episode!

[Topics: Redemption, Too Far Gone?, Rescuing Others; Scripture Verses - John 3:16, Ephesians 2:4-5, Romans 8:38-39]

"Through the Realm of Light and Shadow" is an original role-play adventure based in the Lord of the Rings setting.  Check out the original video version here:

Journey with us and hopefully even be inspired in your own life and faith as you see our team strive to overcome challenges.

Special Note:  Players usually attempt to role-play how they believe their character would act in various situations.  We may not always agree with those responses or actions in real life.

This adventure features laughter and fun banter between the players, however, it also depicts battles and overcoming some challenging situations.  So like the Lords of the Rings movies, we recommend this tale be enjoyed by teenagers and older.

To bring our adventure to life we are using the "Adventures in Middle Earth" core books by Cubicle 7, which is based on the 5e ruleset from D&D.  Find out more about those resources here:

Why are some Sequels well received?  Why are others almost universally hated?  What are some of our favorite Sequels?  And what are some movies we wished were never made?

Movie sequels can also serve as a great metaphor for the various stages of life we encounter. People often enjoy sequels that embody the positive elements of an original film but can also move the plot forward.  Likewise, how can we learn to appreciate the stage of life we are in while still learning from our past and having hope for the future?

All of this and more and our next exciting episode!

Deliverance the Board Game is hitting Kickstarter on June 8!

We chatted again with the creator of the game, Andrew Lowen, for an in-depth interview.

We discuss the game of course, but also chat about why he decided to self-publish the game, the Kickstarter campaign itself, and advice he has for game designers and those who might plan to use Kickstarter in the future.

Finally, we chat about how his faith has influenced his decision-making along the way and what he believes God has taught him through this entire game creation process.

Special thanks to Andrew Lowen for the interview.  If you like what you see about Deliverance you can find more info at the links below (including our previous interview with Andrew).  Also, consider supporting the game through Kickstarter when it launches.  Thanks!

It's finally here - our thoughts on The Falcon and the Winter Soldier series on Disney Plus!

Did it live up to the high standards and legacy of Captain America set by the movies?  How well did the titular heroes do stepping into the spotlight of their own show?  And was the series effective in touching on some real-life topics?

Plus we discuss the need for all of us to not let the negative opinions of others hold us back from helping others and reaching our full potential.

All of this and more and our next exciting episode!

Special Note: This segment contains spoilers for The Falcon and The Winter Soldier Disney Plus series.
