Part One of Two, Andrew Lowen & "Deliverance" the Board Game

"Deliverance" is an incredible board game where you can play as a powerful angel -  battling demonic forces and protecting humanity.

The creator Andrew Lowen desired to create a high-quality game that "Christians could be proud of", played without compromise of their beliefs, and that can also be enjoyed by people of other backgrounds as well.   He has combined a lot of Bible research with some fun mechanics to make an engaging experience.

In this interview, we learn more about Andrew and how he came up with the idea of "Deliverance".  We also discuss combining his faith with his love of the board game hobby and how both Christians and others have really enjoyed "Deliverance".

Journey with us and hopefully even be inspired in your own life and faith as you see our team strive to overcome challenges.

Special Note:  Players usually attempt to role-play how they believe their character would act in various situations.  We may not always agree with those responses or actions in real life.

This adventure features laughter and fun banter between the players, however, it also depicts battles and overcoming some challenging situations.  So like the Lords of the Rings movies, we recommend this tale be enjoyed by teenagers and older.

To bring our adventure to life we are using the "Adventures in Middle Earth" core books by Cubicle 7, which is based on the 5e ruleset from D&D.  Find out more about those resources here:

How will this continue to impact the movie industry in the future?  And how can yet another industry overcoming the challenges of this time serve as an example for us to overcome difficulties in our own lives?

As we discuss another serious topic, also witness our team have a little editing fun as we deal with our own technical challenges.  All of this and more in our next exciting segment.

[Topics: Not Comparing Ourselves to Others, Quality Matters]

Microsoft recently stunned the gaming industry by purchasing Bethesda Gaming Studios for over $7 Billion.  Is this a good move for gamers?

Will this impact the quality and availability of Bethesda's games on other platforms?  Will smaller gaming studios be able to compete against the might of this purchase?

And as we apply this situation to everyday life, we discuss how it can be tempting to negatively compare what we have to the resources of others. However, we discover there are often more important indicators of success.

[Topics: Not Showing Favoritism]

The Next Generation of Gaming Consoles is almost upon us.  Are you planning to purchase a new console and if so, what is driving your decision?

And with new consoles comes the debate once again on Console and Game Exclusivity. When might Exclusive Content work well for the gaming industry?  When might Exclusivity be a negative thing for players and leave some feeling that gaming companies might be "playing favorites"?

Have you ever felt you were overlooked or did not gain a benefit because someone was "playing favorites"?  Have we ever been guilty of this ourselves and how can we avoid doing that in the future?
