Shawn Butler, a dear and genuine friend of Russell and Charity’s, felt an annoying pain in his abdomen around the beginning of 2023. He ignored it. Shawn is tough, fighting through his pain. He's known for his strength. But this time, the pain kept persisting…

Shawn has spent this year fighting stage 3C cancer. Just last week he was admitted to the hospital following weeks of surgery, therapy and medications. Our hearts break for the pain he and his family are going through right now.

Russell and Charity spoke with Shawn a couple months back. Shawn is an incredible man who has worked tirelessly for others. This is a discussion of family, love and the human experience. It may be difficult to watch. It was difficult to film.
