Have you ever noticed that the finish line is always moving? Whether it’s a finish line you cross at an organized race or one you cross when completing your goal distance on your own, independent from any race.
If you’re not new to running, I’m sure you’ve crossed many finish lines in your running days and you’ve found that there’s always another one waving at you up ahead. Right?
In this episode I want to discuss how we can create new finish lines with our running and know that they don’t always have to be literal ones. They can be ones you set in your mind around consistency with your running or around creating ease with your running.
Most runners I surround myself with are constantly discovering how to up-level, adjust, and evaluate what they can do differently the next time around. That’s the cool thing about deciding to run your way; you get to decide what’s next, you get to decide what it will look like, and what you’ll do differently the next time around. You get to decide what worked, what didn’t, and hopefully determine why.
After listening to this episode I hope you’ll walk away with a new perspective on finish lines and start thinking about what finish line you’re going to create for yourself with your running and know that when you cross it, because I know you will, you can always create a new one and a new one after that.
One finish line doesn’t determine your capabilities, your worth or the whole dang thing with your running!
