On this week's episode of the She Did That. podcast, I'm in conversation with Carmeon Hamilton, a Memphis-based environmental curator, interior designer, merchandising consultant, and content creator behind the brand, Nubi Interiors. Oh, and you might know her from HGTV and Discovery +, because she also happens to be the star of their hit series, Reno my Rental.
As a self-proclaimed modern bohemian, Carmeon's style is it for me. It's very layered and it's really textured. She integrates cultural elements, plants, and pops of color that truly speak to my soul. Join us today as we talk about Carmeon's journey into interior design, elevating the everyday, and finding beauty in the now.

According to the latest data from the U.S. Census Bureau, fewer than 6 percent of all real estate professionals are Black. It's hard to believe that in 2022 the gap is so wide but today's guest, Rena Frazier of Selling Tampa, is committed to changing the narrative. The Netflix original series had our undivided attention this holiday season as one of the most-watched shows on the platform. This week on the She Did That. podcast, I'm sitting down with one of Selling Tampa's brightest stars to talk about what it's like to be a Black woman in real estate, the power in navigating the world with an abundance mindset, and knowing when it's time to walk away.

You may know Sheinelle Jones as the co-host of the 3rd Hour of TODAY, but this morning she's joining me to talk about her latest passion project which takes her from in front of the camera to working behind the scenes as the EP of her documentary, Stories We Tell: The Fertility Secret.
While this is her first film, we all know that Sheinelle is no stranger to storytelling. Since joining NBC News in 2014, she has covered a variety of breaking news events and human-interest stories. Today, we'll be talking about what inspired her to follow five women of color as they reflect on the psychological and physical pain of infertility. They tackle everything from in vitro fertilization (IVF), endometriosis, fibroids, egg freezing to surrogacy. For too long, these women, like so many others, have handled these challenges in silence, but are now coming together to speak their truth with the hope of enlightening and empowering others.

Today on the She Did That. podcast we're unpacking the topic of seasonal blues with Dr. Mariel Buque. We're just a few weeks into Daylight Savings Time, and unless you live in Arizona or Hawaii, this means it's getting darker much earlier and the temps are dropping as we head into the winter months. For many, this change of seasons means more than cooler weather, it can also be the onset of SAD, which is seasonal affective disorder. SAD, or the winter blues affects women more than men, though researchers are not quite sure why. To put this in perspective, about 75% of people who get seasonal affective disorder are women, which is why Dr. Buque was the perfect guest for this week's show.

This week on the She Did That. podcast I'm chatting with Imani Ellis, the Founder of The Creative Collective NYC, a community and creative agency dedicated to offering brave spaces for multicultural creatives to thrive. Past speakers include John Legend, Spike Lee, Tracee Ellis Ross, Michael B. Jordan, and Chloe and Halle, just to name a few. Today on She Did That., Imani talks about dreaming big for the TheCCnyc, some of the mistakes she's made along the way, and how she juggles her entrepreneurial spirit with a fast-paced, 9-5 in entertainment PR.

Necole Kane is the queen of reinvention. As a blogging pioneer, she was the founder of one of the most popular gossip sites before it turned into a billion dollar industry. She was an influencer before the word existed and considered herself to be a brand before it was the thing to do. Today, Necole is the founder of the inspirational women's platform, xonecole.com and she's changing women's lives, one period at a time, with My Happy Flo.
25% of Black women will suffer from fibroids by the age of 25 and 80% of us will have them by the time we reach 50. It's the epidemic we don't talk about enough, but Necole is committed to offering a form of relief through her latest endeavors. Listen close as we discuss what led her down this path and why it's so important for us to manage our diets and our mindsets on this journey to healing. Produced by Dear MediaThe home ownership gap in America is real, and even more so for Black families which account for 42% of homeowners. While the gap seems to be widening, this hasn't discouraged Tricia Lee. As one of New York City's top brokers and founder of "Money Matters with Tricia Lee," she is committed to closing the ownership gap, one home purchase at a time. According to Tricia, the most rewarding part of her job is helping our community build generational wealth. In 2021, she's already worked with over 20 women buying their first home and plans to close out the year with even more. This week on the She Did That. podcast, Renae and Tricia talk about the impact of ownership in all facets of our lives, from owning a home, owning our power, and owning who we are when we step into a room.
