In 2025, sports reporter Adan Manzano who was in town to cover the Super Bowl was found dead in his hotel room. His phone and bank cards were missing. Danette Colbert was captured on surveillance footage leaving the room. She was arrested and charged with second-degree murder. When David Butler heard the story, he was sick to his stomach. Just years earlier, he had nearly the same experience with Colbert. He fought to get her behind bars and warned the court how dangerous she was.
