Ellise Antoinette Smith is from Detroit, Michigan, with a research focus on the experiences of bodies that identify as fat. With an interdisciplinary focus, Smith uses photography (#VisualActivism), podcasting, spoken word poetry, and social media as a catalyst to center these narratives.
As doctoral student in the Urban Education Studies program at IUPUI, Smith dedicates her scholarship to creating celebratory spaces for the marginalized identities that she holds using frameworks such as Black Feminist Thought, Sense of Belonging, Intersectionality, and Critical Race Theory. She aims to ensure the work and narratives around bigger bodies are included in academia while challenging the dominant ideologies around body image acceptance.
Smith centers her work within the sector of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion as she pulls from her experiences working with first-generation, low-income students, racial equity, and eradicating injustices for underrepresented populations.

In 2013 Tiffany started a positive body image blog entitled "The Diary Of A Curvy Girl". Her mission for the blog was to encourage other plus size women to embrace who they are as beautiful queens, and to remember the number on the scale is just a number and they can be fabulous at any size! in 2014 Tiffany won the title as Miss Kurvie Upstate NY a plus size pageant based out of Rochester NY. In her year of reign she accomplished many goals, starting a mentoring program and ultimately entering a national pageant, to which she was crowned Miss Rochester Plus America 2016. Continuing her pageant journey at the Miss Plus America national pageant Tiffany competed as Miss Empire State Plus America and is the First Runner Up for the Miss Plus America Title. Since then Tiffany has been published in several online articles with her blog, she's also hosted a few self esteem workshops, and hopes to bring awareness to depression and suicide from her recent battle. She takes a realistic transparent approach to being an influencer because for her she doesn’t want to unreachable or unrepeatable. Tiffany is committed to the betterment of the next generation of young ladies and women, by helping them realize their true self worth and to start thinking like the Queens they are meant to be!

Welcome Kim Guess to the show!
My pain motivates me. I lost my husband in 2019 to ALS, he was only 41 years old. My business was birthed because I needed something to focus on and something to help pay the bills that were now all my responsibility. I have a 9 year old son that keeps me motivated daily, and all the women that I serve inspire me. I help women of all ethnicities achieve their weight loss goals through dance fitness, by dealing with self esteem issues 1st. I also do a Hip Hop Dance Fitness Mentorship Program for teenage girls & abused women. I feel that I impact my community because of the transparency of who I am and what I've gone through. I was able to create a safe space for all women to be themselves without judgment, we laugh, cry, support and uplift one another. I do my best to help other women create and start their own business & to find their purpose. In all aspects of life we have to adapt, so through loss I survived, through pain & grief I survived, through depression & anxiety I survived , through heartache/weight gain/money problems I survived. Everything I've been through in my life is an example that there is BETTER on the other side of pain.
