Get Creative to Grow Your Brand
In this episode, learn how Ryan Beauchesne, the brilliant creator and owner of Crusoe the Celebrity Dachshund, turned a blog about his dog into a successful business and international brand. Listen in to hear Ryan tell the story of writing in his beloved Dachshund’s “voice” to amuse his friends and family and how it evolved into 4M+ followers, a New York Times bestseller, the Doggo Ramps business and turned Crusoe into one of the first-ever celebrity dog influencers.
Although it may look like everything about owning a celebrity dog is funny out-takes, book deals and doggy cuddles, the truth is it’s a lot of hard work, a balancing act and sometimes it can be downright heartbreaking.
Lisa and Ryan pull back the curtain on what it takes to create, grow and build a business. They also cover how to AVOID getting tripped up by your own impatience or a rigid business strategy and outline how to shift that strategy as your community and business grow.
Do you have a joyful obsession with your pet, a sport, or around a particular topic (like food trucks or fishing)? You’ll want to hear Ryan’s advice on taking that obsession from knowledge stuck in your head to actual products you can sell by creating content, building an engaged community and developing products to serve that community. He’ll also share the secret reward of becoming a household name.

Map Out a Plan for Your Business
It’s SO easy to get lost down a side road if you don’t have a clear plan mapped out for your business. It’s also tempting to keep your plan all up in your head, rather than get it down on paper, but the truth is there is NO SUBSTITUTE for a well mapped out, doable strategy on paper. Everyone needs a solid Roadmap for their business.
So, fasten your seatbelt, get ready to set that GPS, and prepare to plan your route to the place you’ve always wanted to go with your business because in this episode you are going to hear how I take private clients through the process of mapping out a business strategy, something I call Roadmap.
The truth is this process didn’t always have a name, it used to be just an innate process I used to help business owners dig deep and figure out where they were stuck and come up with a plan to get them moving again, but after so many years of clients asking me “How do you do that?!” I finally sat down and created the 10 step system you’re about to learn.
You’ll also get to hear from one of my former private clients, Stephanie Rainey who started, built and sold her business. As we walk through the Roadmap process, she weighs in on the impact a sound business strategy had on scaling her private swim school.
After hearing this episode, you may decide you need a Roadmap for your business! We’ve got you covered. Simply click here to be notified of when I will be holding our next Roadmap Workshop.

Get Clear on Who You Serve with Steve Dotto - Ep.5
Christine Kane bootstrapped her music career by becoming her own agent and starting a music label. Thousands of shows, 7 CDs and an award-winning DVD later, she took the business and entrepreneurial skills she’d learned through ‘trial by fire’ and built a crazy successful, million-dollar coaching business.
In this episode, learn how she helps other highly creative, secretly sensitive and wildly ambitious entrepreneurs grow their businesses. Which is, by the way, also in the title of her new book!
As you know, this quarter’s theme is all about strategy. What I love about having Christine Kane as our first guest on this topic is that you will hear how someone who is all about following your intuition and fostering your creativity has set up her business to both make money and give her the freedom to create. Instead of making her business fit a traditional business strategy, she tweaked her strategy to suit who she is and what she needs from her business.
