It's time for comics to change forever, as we turn our attention to Grant Morrison and Steve Yeowell's The Invisibles #1, a comic which did something no other comic has ever done before or since. It's strange, it's intense, it's invested - and it's something which this week's special guest August Dawn has a lot of thoughts about!

Katsuhiro Otomo's seminal manga needs very little introduction, a post-apocalyptic series with fast bikes, quick wits, and high stakes. Special guest Rosie Knight joins the podcast to break down what made the comic so formative for her as a reader, and the importance it still holds today!

The first issue of Frank Miller's mighty Dark Knight Returns only reached #48 in Shelfdust's poll to find the best #1 issues of all time! What's going on? Surely it should've placed higher. For our third episode of Shelfdust Presents we turn to The Beat's Kyle Pinion for answers, as we must in all things.
