Because, it turns out that, sometimes, the answer to all these things that challenges us, discourages us, distracts us, burns us out can be because... our basic needs aren't being met. I mean, like, Maslow's Hierarchy basic.

Core values represent all that you are. Even when people don't know you personally, they should be able to grasp a feel of your character and integrity according to how they see you operate. All areas of your life should be based upon your core values.

Today, we're talking... LIFE INSURANCE. Now, this is something that's completely blind sided me in my life.

Life Insurance is something I've heard of here and there, but I didn't think it was anything applicable or necessary for my life. I also used to think it was only for like... rich yt ppl? I mean, yea, they're the ones who gatekept this information for generations (am I lying?)

However, it turns out that there is a type of Life Insurance where you are able to ACCESS your benefits while you're alive and not have to wait until you're dead. So, GREAT! Your money doesn't have to be only for your funeral.

Further, accessing this money is able to provide you with the funds you need if you happen to be in a situation where you can no longer work (due to illness, accident, etc).

Not only that, you are also able to use your policy in a way where you'd be able to access your funds without having to wait until you're 59.5 years old ready to retire, PLUS you'd be able to access this money (YOUR money) tax-free.

PLUSSS, you'd be able to use your own policy to put a downpayment on a house or your business if you wanted to (and if you qualify). This is how Walt Disney started Disneyland! (I'm telling you, yt ppl been knowing this information)

I think one of the most important things when it comes to financial literacy and having a coach is to make sure that your mentor is someone who makes you feel safe. Finances is a very vulnerable experience for majority of folx, and it's important for your coach to be someone who operates with compassion and accountability, not shame and authority.

Remember, psychological safety creates more bandwidth and excitement for learning and performing. Don't believe the "financial gurus" out there who make you feel bad about yourself.

Things happen - now let's have a forward-thinking mindset and a practical solution to get you to financial freedom!

From secured cards / credit builder cards and department store cards to best card for starters (CapitalOne Quicksilver) and the Fab 5 (AMEX, Bank of America, Chase, Citi, Discover), to even rapid fire questions like - Should you really close that one account? How can you build your credit score from a 0? Why aren't you being accepted into that Chase card even when you have a great credit score?
