It’s time to be honest. So where is the messy drawer in your house that you don’t want anyone to look in? 

We all have one. Don’t we? Well I assume that we all do. 

I’m a naturally messy person, but I am also very organised. So I was fascinated when I met this week’s guest, Sheena Taylor at Edenbridge Ladies Lunch Club. 

Sheena is an eco-friendly professional organiser. She strongly believes in our overall mental wellbeing, and that our home plays a huge part in this. Her 'Make Space for the Life You Want' concepts allows her clients to move from a place of struggle, shame and embarrassment to one of positivity and confidence in their ability to manage their home. 

With a background in teaching, mentoring, supporting mental wellbeing and coaching in education and in organising, Sheen is a verified member of the Association of Professional Declutterers and Organisers. She also enjoys volunteering as their Reuse and Recycling Coordinator, helping other organisers find sustainable organisations for unwanted clutter. 

Experience has given Sheena unique insight into the difficulties and struggles that being organised in the home presents for some people daily and for others when life gets too busy, allowing her to provide individualised support with the promise of empathy, compassion and non-judgement. Her clients clients feel like a weight has been lifted from their shoulders, and that they can tackle any decluttering they encounter on the road in front of them.

Many of us realised our gifts during the 2020 lockdowns. 

During lock down, Michelle had time; for the first time in years she had time to reflect, time to heal and time to grow, she realised she had a message to share, one that she could not wait another minute to share. Michelle’s pursued her passion to write. She believes the message that is woven through the fabric of her work is one of love. Love is eternal and leaves a legacy. She believes LOVE is the one thing no-one should ever have to go without.

The result of this is a soon-to-be published book called “A heart full of love”. 

Michelle lives life by example and when she is not writing her day job is as a Sports Development Co-ordinator. According to Michelle, the biggest learning has come from her years studying Personal Development and learning on how the mind works. This has ignited a fire and provided her with clarity, increased self-awareness, higher sense of self, and a clear direction.

It’s pretty impressive when you speak to a real maverick? I hope the correct sense of that word is interpreted…

A 30 year career in IT as a women is VERY impressive. Sometimes we forget that what feels normal today was new, challenging, rare just a few decades ago.

When speaking to Diane I had a strong sense of a powerful woman that has intuitively leaned into a more feminine, caring way of doing things and this is exactly what has set her apart. There is a lot to be learnt here.

Since leaving the commercial world of IT, Diane has been honing her needlework and knitting skills, is learning the art of quilting and has dabbled in a bit of singing too, even though she thought she couldn’t sing! - which just goes to prove that we can do anything that we put our minds to!

There is a lot in a name… I’ve had this conversation with many people that I have spoken to. This week’s Powerful Conversation is with a women that has a BIG name to live up to. Her name is Sunshine. And WOW does she live up to her name.
