There was a saying in medieval alchemy that went like this: "In filth shall it be found". Carl Gustav Jung (1875-1961), the renowned Swiss psychiatrist, psychoanalyst and philosopher, later expounded on this rather disturbing expression to our 21st century ears, that what we most want to find in our lives will be found in the places where we least want to look. Rabbi Dovid'l Weinberg is an educator, musician and author. He teaches second year students at Yeshivat Orayta in the Old City of Jerusalem, and is a frequent guest lecturer at many Yeshivot and Seminaries across the greater Jerusalem area.
