Pinkster herinner ons dat die kerk op sy sterkste is wanneer ons terugkeer na eenvoud: God se Woord, God se teenwoordigheid, God se mense en God se sending.

Ons was nooit bedoel om Jesus alleen te volg nie. Die Gees trek ons nader aan Christus en nader aan mekaar, sodat die wêreld sy liefde, vreugde en krag deur sy mense kan sien.

Matthew presents Jesus as the greater Cyrus: the King who ends exile, restores God’s presence, and sends His people into the world. But Jesus is greater than Cyrus because He does not merely rule by authority from God — He rules as God.

His kingdom is faithful, compassionate, merciful to rebels, kind to the weak, victorious over death, and gentle enough for children to feel safe near Him.

The call is to believe His reign, trust His commands, repent, be baptized, obey Him, and go into the world as living temples of His presence.

Jesus reigns. Therefore, go.
