Abby Bishop is a formidable talent in Aussie Women's Hoops. Having achieved 3 WNBL Championships with the UCCaps and a WNBA ring as well. 

Known across the global hoops landscape from the USA to Europe, her return home to Australia with the Southside Flyers this season had her playing incredible basketball.

Recently her season was cruelly halted with a tear in her soleus muscle just before an Opals camp for the FIBAWWC Qualifiers. Abby has begun the long and sometimes boring rehab journey with the aim to get back to the remarkable form she was enjoying. 

Back in her homeland with daughter Zala alongside, she's finding joy in hoops again and like her free flowing game is happy to see where it leads.

The FIBA Women’s World Cup Qualifiers are done and dusted. 12 Teams have punched their tickets to Sydney for the FIBAWWC in September 2022.

The Caz and Daz Show is a podcast on British Women’s Basketball, and it’s a real treat to chat with them about UK Hoops, the professional women’s league WBBL, and the huge growth in participation rates amongst GB youth.

Great Britain narrowly missed out on the Tokyo Olympics. Both our nations, while positioned differently have much in common. We explore this further, including the familiar challenges of maximising the sports exposure through viewership and much needed funding.

Their passion and love of hoops mirrors our own, we get a glimpse into the UK scene and it would be awesome to see our nations’ compete in hoops raising the profile of the sport to be a global powerhouse that it richly deserves.

She’s the ultimate big… fierce, loyal to her team-mates and never stepping back from a challenge.

Cayla George made an impact at this years Tokyo2020 Olympics for the Opals - but by sharing her truth she lets us peek into how the squad felt through the campaign and afterwards.

Cayla showed the kind of leadership needed by her decisive action when team mates Tiffany and Ezi were confronted by racial intolerance. She calls it out and she calls for action because nothing less will do.

When two stars collide it’s spectacular. Husband and Wife team Tom and Renae Garlepp are phenomenal talents in their own right making an impact on the coaching stage.

Just as spectacular was this year's U20’s Nationals when they faced off as opponents coaching the Blue and White NSW Teams.

Juggling family life and coaching high stakes hoops with state pride on the line gets you some pretty special moments, but most valuable is their insight into developing hoops talent in schools at the age when many girls are opting out or switching codes.

It’s a wonderful slice of their basketball life, and we're so grateful they shared it with us.

Non-stop laughs of course but don’t be fooled - these two are deadly competitive.
