Short Time Shots

Sure enough, the first full day with the new car, and I have to take my wife's Pontiac G6 down to Maturi Pavilion. Why? I don't quite yet know how to park our new monstrosity and her car fits in better places. Yup, it's a Sunday in college wrestling and we've got some real fun […]

If you recently listened to the episode of the Short Time Wrestling Podcast where Kyle Klingman and I talked about our experiences 10 years ago with the Wrestling 411 project, you'll know that year, I totaled my car and had to buy a new one. Well, it's almost fitting that we put a bow on […]

Friday night saw some tremendous action around the country, but most of it centered in Big Ten Country. That's right, to hell with your high school football playoffs – except for Poquoson – Go Islanders – it's wrestling season and we had some fun stuff on Friday night. This is Short Time Shots, a sometimes […]

SUNDAY SUNDAY SUNDAY! (I made this part up on the fly) This is Short Time Shots, a comically unfunny wrestling podcast aimed at giving you, the wrestling fan, everything you need to know about the day's happenings in college wrestling. I found bags for the leaves. YES! It took about two and a half hours to clear the yard, but at least I got it all done before the rains came. I would litter this episode with lyrics inspired by Annie Lennox, but that'd be painful for you, just like walking on broken glass. This […]

Something a little different in the Rocky Mountain high … and no, that isn't a pun about the state of Colorado's laws about a said controlled substance. No lying in the weeds here, this is Short Time Shots, a somewhat daily look at the happenings in college wrestling – I'm your host 11-time award winning […]

Oh, it's about that time, it's about that time, it's ABOUT THAT TIME! The whistles of college wrestling season didn't actually blow for the first time on Thursday night, they actually started in September with the California Community Colleges. But the four-year programs and the rest of the junior colleges got underway this week and […]

I love Virginia. The state, not the town that shares the name in the Iron Range of Minnesota. Ok, I've been to Virginia, Minnesota, but that's not important right now. Want to hear a rant? Well, you might not have a choice — this is Short Time Shots, a look back at the day's scores […]
