In the past few months, we’ve been trying to cover more topics pertaining to women (particularly Mormon women). In this episode, Sam and Justin talk about women in the workforce. Do women belong in the workforce? And in regards to Mormon women, should they stay at home?   

Sam talks about the history of Mormon in the workforce (things that have been said to members and leaders of the Church of Jesus Christ in the past), the current statistics about both women generally and Mormon women, and Sam’s current personal opinions about being a female in the workforce.   

There has been a history of patriarchy in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (and throughout the world). Such beliefs caused many women to choose against pursuing an education or full-time job outside of the home. But is that what the current belief is among Mormon women? Or have things changed? Should things change even more, if they’ve changed at all?
