The NBA season is on track to return this season and the reports say it's likely that the league moves right into a 16-team playoff format. This would eliminate the rest of the regular season, but allow teams that were on the bubble of making the postseason a chance to compete. This format would have the Boston Celtics facing the Philadelphia 76ers in the first round.
