Bibi and her husband Vini, joined BSCF back in August of 2025 and have been staples at the gym ever since. Recently, I learned Bibi was a physical therapist before coming to the U.S. from Brazil and is working towards getting her licensure here. Starting Saturday, July 25th, she'll be available to work with you on any limitations in mobility or aches and pains you may have!
In this episode, we dive into the difference in daily culture between Brazil and the U.S., as well as some of the larger cultural differences there are.
No matter what, you'll learn a lot from this discussion, so give it a listen!
A first for the pod, we had multiple guests at once and it was awesome. Joan, Nimisha, and Stacia are regulars in the noon class and are all very driven and successful both in and out of the gym. They discuss how and why they started CrossFit, how it's helped them in their lives, why they plan to keep doing it for a long time, what their goals are going forward and much more!
Everyone will get something out of this episode, so give it a listen!
This is another episode from the archives. Coach Brendan sat down with Erik back in 2023 to discuss how he got started with CrossFit and hear how it's impacted his life since joining.
Erik had just started coaching when we recorded this so we discussed what coaching has been like for him as well.
There are a lot of good topics in here, so sit back and relax as you learn more about Coach Erik!
In this episode, Coach Brendan sits down with member Cesar Mata, who is an avid mountain biker and now a dedicated CrossFitter. We discuss his prior experience in training at a regular gym (he did a lot of "bro sets" as he calls them), what appealed to him about CrossFit, what his perception of CrossFit was before starting vs. now (hint: it's not as scary as you might think and not nearly as dangerous as people make it out to be), as well as how it's helped him during his races on the trails, and much, much more.
Enjoy!
This one is from the vault of old episodes that never got published! 2 years ago, Coach Brendan sat down with Coach Julia (who has since moved to Nevada) to discuss the link between fitness and mental health. Julia is a therapist now and had just graduated from her Master's program at the time.
Listen in as Julia and Brendan discuss the benefits of fitness on your mental health, how your mindset about your workouts can make a significant impact on your life, and much more!
In this episode, I got to sit down and chat with Coach Luke about how he got started at BSCF and his journey to sobriety.
Ever wondered how you can get the most out of your hour at BSCF? Wonder no more! Coach Brendan takes you through the best way to optimize your workout and make long-term progress happen faster!
On this episode, Coach Brendan discusses the science of WHY you should scale a workout in order to make more rapid progress.
