Thousands of movies are made around the world each year. But only a handful make it to the international arena. TRT's brand new project 12 Punto Script Days is aiming at helping Turkish movies break down barriers and gain international success. The first edition of the event wrapped up with eight film projects being given the kind of production and financial assistance that will help them go global.

Portugal has it all from historic cities and world-renowned beaches to fresh delicacies and of course the melancholic fado tunes. But what about one of the oldest libraries in Europe? Coimbra University needed a home for its huge book collection and so in the 18th century, with the help of King John the fifth, a baroque masterpiece was built to house these books. Now half a million people come every year to admire Joanina Library.

This next artist's work is anything but ordinary or mundane. She turns cooking pans into high-heels. Or she constructs a wedding ring from wheel-rims and drinking glasses. Portuguese artist Joanna Vasconcelos' two-decade-long career is now being celebrated in her home country with an exhibition of monumental-scale art installations called 'I'm Your Mirror'. We head over to a contemporary art museum in Porto now to see how she combines social critique with a sense of humour.

For refugees and migrants, trying to travel to Europe by sea is a nightmarish journey. There's a danger, hunger, thirst and of course the constant threat of drowning. While some make it, many don't. And with those that drown unlikely to be identified, thousands of bereaved families are left without answers. And now a London exhibition is putting migrants at the centre of the story.
