Bradley shares the thinking behind Right By You, a suicide prevention program co-designed with young people, for young people. It’s all about giving teens and young adults the tools to recognise warning signs, speak up without freaking out, and take action when someone they care about is struggling, online or IRL.

After decades of international experience in addiction and mental health treatment, Mike created Yatra to offer something different: a peaceful, body-based healing space that integrates evidence-backed therapies like EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), CBT, and somatic work, all within the calm surrounds of southern Thailand.

Mike shares what led him to develop Yatra’s unique "bottom-up" approach, why traditional top-down talk therapy often isn’t enough for deep trauma, and how clients at Yatra are supported not just psychologically, but emotionally, physically, and spiritually.

When someone you love is caught in addiction, it can feel like your entire world starts to revolve around them and slowly, you start to lose yourself. In this episode, Paris is joined by Tiana Cologna, coach, NLP practitioner, and founder of Consciously Connect, who knows this journey firsthand.

Tiana opens up about what it was like growing up with a brother struggling with drug addiction, and how the traditional support systems often left her family feeling helpless and unseen. Through her own healing and study of alternative therapies like NLP and hypnosis, Tiana discovered new ways forward, ones that didn’t require waiting for the addict to "choose" recovery before the rest of the family could start healing too.

Meg shares her experience growing up in these institutions, the lack of oversight that allows abuse to continue, and why “tough love” approaches often cause more harm than healing. We dive into how normal teenage behaviour gets pathologised, the emotional toll of gaslighting and victim-blaming, and what kind of real support families need when they’re struggling.

While the focus is on the US system, we also reflect on how some of these same patterns might be playing out here in Australia, and what we should be keeping an eye on.
