Sicker Than Most

In today’s episode of SICKER THAN MOST, our guest, Howie takes us on a journey through his entire drug addiction sharing stories from early pill use to end stage heroin addiction. He opens up about his experience of bouncing from treatment center to treatment center all over the United States and how through recovery lands in Fresno and finds his calling. He shares with us his process of establishing Fentanyl Anonymous, and his vision of helping the next generation of people in recovery.

He shares how through recovery he has been able to transform into a man that he is proud to be and is now able to show up for the people in his life that he loves and respects. He goes into his childhood and how being a first generation kid put pressure on him that he didn’t understand till much later on. He discussed how being in denial kept him sick and how his different forms of denial changed throughout his addiction and how the bounce back from rock bottom looks different for everyone.

She opens up about her struggles early on with substances and how things only got worse in her life. She shares how it wasn't until a complete transformation of her idea of recovery, only then was she able to maintain sobriety.
