SIDERIS PODCAST

This Sunday we will spend our third week looking at the life and times of Rahab. Where we discover a God that shows up for the lost and the least with mercy and grace, inspiring strength and courage that puts the rest of us to shame. It's sure to be another illumination of the same beautiful gospel to bring even more glory to the savior, and more goodness to us.

This Sunday, we will spend our second week looking at the life and times of Rahab. She is truly an amazing woman whose story teaches us so much about the true nature of faith and God's unchanging character. Sunday's sermon will take a very different angle on her story to show us how Rahab should become the lens through which one must come to terms with the harsher war language encountered in the book of Joshua.

It's weeks like this that humble me beyond words as I share this nearly unbelievable story of personal faith in action with you. This person we will read about existed in real space-time history and walked the same earth as you and I. The thought is breathtaking. That I could be rendered so small in the orbit of this person's faith -- all the while knowing what this person's occupation was -- will shock you, which is precisely what God wants.

This Sunday, we will be looking at Joshua 1:12-18 as we ask the question of "togetherness?" It turns out that we are not the first nation or generation to struggle with the vortex of individualism and self-interest. It seems there is something very special in this text that I'm excited to explore together on Sunday.

Join the discussion as we examine how israel was called to enter into the promised land. How does this relate to how we enter into God's story? What might it require from us?
