The countdown is on for the 73rd annual Sikeston Jaycee Bootheel Rodeo, set to ride into town August 6–9, 2025, with four nights of high-flying PRCA rodeo action and an entertainment lineup as bold and diverse as the Bootheel itself. Drawing nearly 40,000 people annually and generating over $8 million in local revenue, the rodeo is more than an event. It is a cultural institution in Southeast Missouri.
🎶 Music That Moves the Arena
This year’s entertainment lineup is one of the most exciting yet, delivering a genre-spanning soundtrack to accompany the thunder of hooves and the roar of the crowd:
The rodeo experience doesn't end at the arena fence. In a move that celebrates the event’s rich heritage, the Sikeston Rodeo Museum will host its grand opening on Thursday, August 7, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at The Sikeston Post (215 N. New Madrid St.).
This museum marks a milestone for the Jaycees, who have not only hosted one of the Top 40 PRCA Rodeos in the nation since 1953 but also reinvested deeply in the community. With decades of memories, memorabilia, and moments, the museum aims to preserve and honor the spirit of the Sikeston Rodeo for future generations.
