Ryan Hommel, musical director for Daisy Jones & The Six, went over the entire process from the day he was hired to ensuring the cast was ready to play music on camera. Hommel, who credits an entire music department and the actors, went on to talk about the process behind the music, how they were able to create a real-life band, what happened when a new song came in, and how the cast handled everything that was being thrown at them. Hommel tells excellent stories about the actors behind the scenes and their learning process. Hommel said he was shocked when he learned the album is number one and can not wait to watch the first episodes with everyone else. We spoke with Ryan Hansen, Martin Starr, Tyrel Jackson Williams, and Zoë Chao about what it was like coming together to continue the cult classic Party Down. Chao said she watched the show while working at a restaurant (before her big break) and felt less alone, so when she got the chance to hop on board, she said yes and spoke about her funniest moment. Williams said he spent time researching but knew he was entering a show where he was a fan of everyone and was looking forward to working with this stellar cast. Meanwhile, Hansen and Starr kept the conversation funny as the two talked about trees, mountains, peaks, and valleys -- but also returning and chasing dreams.

Synopsis:

Ten years later, most of the Party Down catering team have moved on, including actor/bartender Henry Pollard (Adam Scott, “Severance,” “Parks and Recreation”). Elizabeth Mitchell is sunshine wrapped in a person. She comes on the screen with a huge smile and couldn't be more ready to spend time reviewing some of her most significant roles (even sharing with me the one item she took from the Once Upon a Time set -- and yes, she got up and grabbed it). Mitchell can't help but make you feel at peace as you speak with her. She is calming, happy, thankful, extremely caring, and sweet. She is confident and a strong advocate for women as she talks about her roles. Although I could talk about her past roles for hours and hours, we eventually get to her latest role in Outer Banks, where she plays Carla Limbrey, an interesting woman who might help cause a miracle or two this season. Mitchell is driven by her passion for bringing stories to light and doesn't take a moment for granted. But one thing is clear; she is a mom first. Mitchell loves, love -- and we love her.

Eva Ariel Binder is among the youngest cast members to join AppleTV+'s new show, Dear Edward. Binder plays Shay, who becomes friends with Edward after he is the sole survivor of a plane crash. Leave it to Jason Katims to bring together a mix between humanity, love, and tragedy. The show is exceptionally moving and follows the family members of those left behind, along with the survivor's guilt that Edward carries. Binder shows her acting ability as the standoff-ish neighbor to eventually his friend. Binder talks about what it was like getting the part, who she thinks Shay is, and why she needs to be in Edwards's life.
