Often times we give thanks and praise to the mothers in our lives and the real fathers are often treated as a second thought. The myth is that Black men don’t raise their children or active in their lives. So on this day we are doing more then saluting the fathers of the world. We are taking the time to give them a special shout out to let the world know their children see and respect all that their father have done and that their father isn’t the deadbeat so many have stated for black men. So son’s, daughter’s, brother’s, sister’s and wife please show the world that you love and appreciate the man in your life for all that he does and represent.

A Father

A father is more than a provider he is a protector of the home. Ready to battle any force that seeks to destroy his kingdom for the King oversees his people. Strong and powerful voice to speak the words of encouragement or words of discipline is one of the roles of the father. He love maybe be silent but the feelings are still there. Even at work, his mind is taking care of his family. A lone in his thoughts or what to do next, many times forgoing sleep and rest. He is a proud man that sees what his children are heading towards he still cheers and sometimes roars. Take the time to speak breath of life back into the one who help give you life. A father is a man who will teach you what’s wrong and right. Remember that it takes a lot to be a father and a man.

Truth or dare, what is really going on? Who dares to tell the truth? Can anyone truly handle the truth of what is going on with our kids and in our society? Do we dare to keep replaying the same situations over and over but never having a different outcome? Let’s talk about the truth of the matter and dare each other to be conscious of others and their feelings. We all know there are many angles in life. We all see things differently but one thing is certain is we all take sides based upon he said she said on all events or from personal experiences. Sadly so many fail to understand or consider that if so many people say this is normal and needs to stop,  at what point does everyone step back to start talking about these situations openly? Many blacks that feel strongly about being treated unfairly is because of their experience. Could that also be considered “Post Traumatic Stress Disorder? Reliving a stressful situation or being reminded of how it traumatized that person can result in them becoming passionate about people taking notice of their pain along with those now added to the so called mix. Nobody wants to have a vision of a city, state, or country as causing trauma to their citizens, but the reality is this happens too often. Same goes for health and medical issues that are often dismissed by so many all because they haven’t experienced it. Over the past couple of days I have posted my thoughts and opinions on what have been going on and sadly I felt like I was reliving something that I wished didn’t exist. I don’t want my kids or anyone kids to experience some of the things that are going on or the things I experienced.
