SWU – Policing ourselves in our Community

We have heard that we need to police the police to make sure they are held accountable. So the question was asked, why don’t we hold ourselves to a higher standard when we want our communities to be better?  Why do we turn our heads when gangs come around and pretend what they are doing or representing in the community aren’t confronted about how they are destroying the community? Let’s start the Officer Involved communication with the community. Let’s Partner with the Police to rebuild what so many have died trying to have for their children and grandchildren.

We use too much energy for negativity towards each other instead of using positive energy to build each other. Often times we forget that each person have the right to have an independent opinion without fear of being attacked because others disagree.  We need to stop, listen, and simplify what it is that we have heard. Often we are quick to respond to what is being said instead of letting it marinate in our spirit. Maybe the words are needed to feed the soul/spirit yet we are quick to reject that which we fail to recognize or thought of first. Once we get away from our own EGO’s (Everyone’s Greatest Obstacle) or PRIDE (Personal Reasoning inside Dividing Everyone) we may see things differently. So ask yourself what is more important, PRIDE/EGO or acknowledging everyone have their own feelings? Can you aceept Personal Responsibility of how you treat others?

Can one day truly express the love we have for you?

A nurturer, healer, cheerleader, chauffer, along with so many other titles.

Throughout all of life and the bible

You have been stated to be the one who holds the house together.

Whether you do it alone or with a man

You true beauty and strength still stands.

We love all that you give and show

But on this day we all want you to know that you are loved.

Loved first and foremost because you are our mom.

So to all of our grandmothers, mothers, aunts, sister, and cousins we cherish

The love you bring to our life. Memories to be shared by all.

The question was asked on National Television by a young adult about “where are the "so-called" leaders once the smoke clears?” To take it a step further where are the Church and local leaders? Why does the Church come out to tragic events but all you see and hear are the “so-called” leaders promoting their church or preaching but never offering a solution to solve the ongoing issues in the community? If the Church is part of the Community how come funds going to the church are used to better community by offering afterschool education or skills training? These are some of the questions the youth of today have presented. So what is your take on the issue? Should the Church be doing more if they are for the community? Why do local leaders never offer an active solution that is ongoing?

Solutions that can work if everyone takes responsibility in doing their part.

1. Education on being Financially Prepared - Make a plan to change your financial situation.

2. Enhancing your mind to get out of your own growth - Thinking and seeing beyond what you only know.

3. Stand your ground - When you see others destroying the neighborhood speak up, clean up, and rise up.

4. Reassure your kids that are valuable and they can accomplish anything. Stop putting them and others down. Parents be accountable for what you say.(Stop the cycle of death of our kids of being "P.O.O.R." (People Overlooking Opportunity Repeatedly).

5. Find a mentor that is doing positive and learn from their actions and words.

What we know is that the current situations happening in the United States is beyond insane. Blacks are being attacked, being left to figure out the problem without a solution. THIS SHIT Needs to stop. We need to clarify the problem, start dialogue, and most importantly help the young adults understand there is a better way to address their frustrations. It’s time for a positive response with positive actions to ensure that everyone needs to take time to address the issues. SWU – Hope is Not a Plan

We all have heard many times that we must keep “Hope” alive or that we need hope in order to live. The question is what is “Hope” or what does Hope entail for us to enjoy life to its fullest? One can define hope as (His/Her on Personally Evolving). Basically one must take responsibility in having the mindset to personally evolve each day to a higher way of thinking. Being and showing a higher self that has evolved from negative to a positive, needs to be the plan in order to evolve from what is the norm in today’s world. Just having basic hope is not a plan. A plan is an act that will result in either progression or regression. Hope? Why hope for change yet take no “actions or steps” to make that hope a reality.
