As big as the Olympics are, the sports world has had even more news this week, including former President Barack Obama joining NBA Africa as a strategic partners, NFL teams reckoning with vaccinations among their players and the start of training camp for Aaron Rodgers.

Ohio State’s alumni basketball squad Carmen’s Crew took on Purdue’s alumni team in the Men of Mackey defeating them 80-69

Christopher Renne is joined by Land Grant Holy Land basketball writer Justin Golba to provide an instant recap show to break down how Carmen’s Crew was able to control this game wire to wire. William Buford led the way scoring with some help from the legendary Jeff Gibbs and an overall team effort on the defensive end allowed the Carmen’s Crew squad to pave their way to victory.

Chris and Justin discuss the key moments, players, and the takeaways for Carmen’s crew moving forward.

The next game for Carmen’s Crew is Tuesday against the winner between Team Hines and The Money team Tuesday at 9 PM EST in the Sweet 16 on ESPN

The team is looking to continue their run and lock up their trip to Dayton.
