Land-Grant Holy Land’s newest podcast series, Stick to Sports, will be unlike any podcast you’ve heard on the Ohio State beat. Your hosts, Tia Johnston and Matt Tamanini, will (of course) talk Ohio State football, but the primary focus of the show will be on what’s going on around the periphery, such as weird/funny happenings in college football and the sports world at large, as well as other things that keep us interested in between games, whether that’s pop culture, social media trends— you name it.

Tia and Matt begin this week’s episode discussing Ohio State’s departures, why Shaun Wade could have benefitted from one more year playing college ball (but also...go get paid, Wade) and — the best news of the week— Chris Olave’s decision to return and why we believe he has some unfinished business to attend to. In light of the Olave news, we decided to keep the good news going by reading off some of our favorite news stories from the week thus far.

On the second half of the show, we shake things up by asking each other silly ice breaker/job interview questions. We tell each other which fictional character we’d like to be, which actor we’d want to play us in a movie about our lives, what we’d do with six months of financial and total freedom, and who is in our “Foundational Five.”

On LGHL’s Play Like a Girl podcast, Tia and Meredith talk everything from Ohio State football to all the happenings in the sports world today.

Tia and Meredith talk for the first time since the national championship, and while the sting of the loss has worn off just a tad, they still had to reminisce over the pain that was DeVonta Smith, and the Ohio State defense's inability to contain him. On the second half of the show, they get into the first of what will likely be many 2021 NFL Draft predictions. The duo hopes that, despite Shaun Wade's underwhelming performance this season, NFL scouts will take into account that he only played eight games at a position he was uncomfortable in, and will hopefully put more weight on last year's film and his combine performance. They also discuss Chris Olave's draft stock bump and whether or not they agree with the experts that Justin Fields would benefit by staying back one more year.

The hosts are new, the football season is new, but the sarcasm hasn’t changed a bit. Join George Eisner and Gene Ross all year long as they break down Ohio State’s opponents and recap the Buckeyes’ performance every weekend.

Many thought that Alabama would win the national title game, but I don't think people expected it to be such a runaway. Ohio State’s really put themselves in position to fail, especially on defense. Despite an explosive pass-heavy offense in front of them, the Buckeyes continued to roll out a four-linebacker scheme that had absolutely no chance of slowing down Mac Jones and the Tide. Even after getting torched by Smith for the entirety of the first half, we saw little to no adjustments as the game continued to wind on.
