Land-Grant Holy Land’s newest podcast series, Stick to Sports, will be unlike any podcast you’ve heard on the Ohio State beat. Your hosts, Tia Johnston and Matt Tamanini, will (of course) talk Ohio State football, but the primary focus of the show will be on what’s going on around the periphery, such as weird/funny happenings in college football and the sports world at large, as well as other things that keep us interested in between games, whether that’s pop culture, social media trends— you name it.

At the start of the show, Tia and Matt receive breaking news that the national championship game may be postponed due to a high number of positive tests and contact tracing within Ohio State's program. Michael Citro and Chip Minnich break down Ohio State's 49-28 win over Clemson in the College Football Playoff semifinals. They also discuss recent NCAA football coaching news and preview the upcoming National Championship match-up against Alabama.

The hosts are new, the football season is new, but the sarcasm hasn’t changed a bit. Join George Eisner and Gene Ross all year long as they break down Ohio State’s opponents and recap the Buckeyes’ performance every weekend.

So much went right for the Buckeyes on Friday night, and George and Gene work through all of the aspects of the game that made the big win possible. Fields’ performance was obviously key, but so too was establishing a strong ground game and working in the tight ends. Ohio State absolutely dominated in the trenches, getting a tremendous push from its offensive line and getting pressure on Trevor Lawrence to throw the Tigers off rhythm. Tuf Borland was named the defensive MVP, but it was really a full team effort on that side of the ball.

Still, we are in for another matchup between two of the nation’s top quarterbacks in Trevor Lawrence and Justin Fields.

Why we think Swinney is so against a 6-0 Ohio State team being in the playoffs. He can’t possibly be afraid, can he? Because playing six games is more of a disadvantage than anything else, in our humble opinions.

Can this Ohio State team finally beat Clemson? Who knows! We’re not entirely sure what this team is yet (Re: 6 games).
