Artists have always been a troubled lot and many have turned to drugs or alcohol to douse the same flame that fanned their art. Writers are no different. You might not believe it, exposed as you are to people who produce entire articles out of a tweet that went very mildly viral, but writers are artists too and here are a few genius writers and poets who produced their finest under the influence.

What's the most you've worked out in a day? Whatever the answer, it doesn't matter - these folks have done more. Imagine swimming the minor matter of 3 km, then cycling 180 km, then running 42 km. A little more than a stroll to buy vegetables, you'll agree. Today we talk to two amazing endurance athletes - Mehul Ved (@mehulved) and Nupur Shikhare (@nupur_popeye), who talk about their IronMan experiences, finding sponsors, how to train for such events and why on earth someone would even attempt doing something like this.
Hopefully we'll inspire you to get off your chairs and take the stairs. At least.
If you'd like to get your exercise by chasing Naren and Chuck down, get in touch at @shenoyn and @chuck_gopal. In that order. Maybe.

It's one of the commonest foods around. The humble potato has, in the brief four centuries since it was introduced into the western world from South America, firmly occupied a prominent position is virtually every cuisine from Chinese to Indian to French. But did you know it could be poisonous enough to make you really ill? Chuck and Naren investigate and find out that the answer is a meek but positive 'yes'.
But don't give up on those fries yet. Doesn't happen very often, thank goodness. If you are overwhelmed by this piece of good news, chime in and say hello at@shenoyn and @chuck_gopal

A couple of weeks ago, we started Simblifying the Olympics for you - we spoke about the ancient games. This week we take things a notch up and talk more about the modern era, and which countries do well. What do you mean, late? We're 4 years early!
Give us a message at @chuck_gopal / @shenoyn. Best message gets an Olympian-sized hug from Naren.

It's been another disappointing outing for India in the Olympics : Given the size of the contingent (and heck, the size of the country!) and hype... It was a bummer. But this isn't a new story! This happens every four years. Can things change by Tokyo 2020? Chuck and Naren scour the interwebz to see why people think we can't bring back more than a few metals every year.
We'd love to hear from you, so ping us on @chuck_gopal or @shenoynon Twitter!

The world's biggest sporting extravaganza has just ended (sorry cricket fans, we're not talking about the IPL). It's the quadrennial showcase of athletic talent from around the world in events we didn't know existed till two weeks ago - the Olympics. The first of a multi-part series, we're gonna look at how the modern Olympics came to be. Did you know there was an ancient version of the games? Did you know the first event featured women? Did you know about a gentleman called Pierre de Coubertin? We tackle all these questions and more.
Sure, this episode comes on the day the Olympics is closing - but we prefer to think we're 4 years early, rather than 2 weeks too late.

Come on, we've all had that unfortunate moment of realisation when we've had a bit too much tipple. Perfect vocabulary and punctuation descends into something quite desultory, and you would never even use a word like desultory. Anyway, Chuck decided to explore why is it that the Blushful Hippocrene has this effect on us, and turns out, it's quite a lot! So get drunk on our episode and revel in the hangover of knowledge! #NotAtAllCheesy
If you'd like to invite Chuck and Naren for a drink (craft beer only please!) then say hey at @chuck_gopal and @shenoyn.

If, like Chuck and Naren, you like your tipple - you will love this episode. Oh, we're not talking mass-manufactured swill here - we're talking about craft beer - the most glorious liquid to come on planet Earth since water. Ansh Seth from Brewbot (Andheri) and Shailendra Singh of Independence Brewing Company (Pune) chat about how they got started, how craft is different from everything else, the process of making beer, challenges and a lot more. It's a fun, heady, frothy episode with hints of citrus, clove and orange peel with a lovely aftertaste that leaves you wanting more, and can be enjoyed with any food.
This episode was recorded just before the Brewbot Beer Weekender in Andheri on 6/7 August. Chuck went and let's just say he had a very happy birthday. Wanna say happy birthday to Chuck? He's at @chuck_gopal. Want to send Naren marriage requests? Try your luck @shenoyn.

Want to know all about advertising, and a bit of how to start a business? You've come to the right place. Director of Flying Cursor, the effervescent Shormishta Mukherjee, tells us all about her journey and what digital marketing is about. She also tells us some fun office incidents. It's a totes_fun episode. Check it out!

Chuck got these new glasses that cancels out blue light. Why, you ask? Well it's better for the eyes, apparently. He tells you all about them and makes several unnecessary poor jokes in the bargain.
