You might have heard that Bob Dylan, RHCP, Neil Young and even David Guetta have sold the rights to their music to companies like Hipgnosis for obscene sums of money. What does this mean? Why do artists do that? Did Tony really make three puns despite not being a rock music fan?
Chuck, Srikeit and Tony get together to talk about this new trend (artists selling music, that is - not Tony making rock puns) and the conversation gradually steers to what it means for the future of music, art and life itself.
Referenced in the episode - Ted Gioia's predictions on the future of music.

A shockingly serious and dare we say informative episode. The Simblified boys talk about branding and its evolution. Along the way we answer questions such as what a brand is, whether brand building is worth it, and all that. Lots of our favourite examples in here. We apologize if this comes out like a marketing class - much of the lucidity might come from the fact that 75% of the panel has taught in an institute.
If you're into marketing or heck, just even curious about WTF a brand really is, this might be the episode for you.

Well, the experts couldn't figure it out, so we thought we'd take a stab at it. Chuck, Srikeit and Tony speak about globalisation, what it is, whether it's dead, quote Friedman (the one that's alive), make several bad jokes, take shockingly profound cultural detours, and generally have a good ol' time. If you're looking to actually learn about globalisation and economics and all that, this is certainly not the place.

When was the last time any of you successfully repaired your phones (and used it for a while after)? If your reply is never, that is very much by design. Join the Simblified gang as we pick apart the not-so-new practice of designing tech so it breaks down earlier than its natural lifespan - an insidious practice called Planned Obsolescence. We then discuss the Right to Repair movement that has taken on big tech and won, in some cases. And how it all started with farmers trying to hack tractors in Nebraska.
Tune in and follow us into the journey of the fight to repair.
