The EU recently passed a set of regulations to reign in Big Tech. Yay! Or... Nay?
See that's the thing. Regulating technology companies is so damn complicated and any seemingly good thing, will have a dark side as well. Join the Simblified hosts as they have a freewheeling discussion on this, touching upon some other important topics like whether Meta is actually evil, whether anti-trust will work, and what Chuck's shady hi5 profile pic was. Yes, we discuss hi5. That one.
Add one part news, one part bad jokes, one part Wikipedia research, one part cult references from spending too much time on the internet, one part Wodehouse quotes, and one part quality puns, and you get Simblified.
A weekly podcast to help you appear smarter, to an audience that knows no less! Your four hosts - Chuck, Naren, Srikeit, and Tony attempt to deconstruct topics with humor (conditions apply). When music went from blogs to Twitter, it didn't just change how it was consumed, but it changed the blogs to Twitter itself.
Similarly, when we went from blogs to Twitter, the language/syntax/grammar itself changed.
Chuck has constantly been constantly fascinated by how the form of the medium dictates the content because of consumption habits, economic imperatives etc and brings it as a group discussion topic. Joined by media-hoovering Srikeit and always thoughtful Naren, this made for a fascinating conversation that is best consumed in podcast form.

In the wake of the most talked-about Superbowl halftime show, the Simblified gang get together to understand the actual sport called American Football that happens around that show.
Join us as we try to simblify the rules, culture and oddities of the sport by answering burning questions like, "Why is that hand egg called a football?", "WTF is an oblate spheroid?" Why are they hitting each other so much? and "Do the players even know what's going on?". It's a real touchdown of an episode, promise.

AI aye aye: A discussion on Artificial Intelligence with Kartik and Shivam
Complex things like AI, machine learning, data science, deep learning and reverse swing (ok maybe not that one) have been on our collective minds for years now. There's a lot of noise, misconceptions and prejudiced opinion about the whole thing so we did what we at Simblified do when faced with vexing questions: Call in experts. In this two-part interview, we speak to Kartik Talamadupula and Shivam Tundele - two AI practitioners, to talk about the whole thing. Over two hours (split up into 2 episodes) we talk about the evolution of AI, what various terms mean, ethical aspects of AI, uses of AI, where things could go... And we get philosophical as well, wondering what it means to be human, what we as a race will need to do in order to protect ourselves from the worst of AI... And we end on a super-optimistic hopeful note. We hope you enjoy this conversation!
This is part 2 of a 2 part recording. The first episode was out last week on this same feed - we recommend you listen to that one first if you haven't.
