Saul of Tarsus had papers to arrest believers, a reputation for violence, and zero interest in becoming a disciple. Then Jesus meets him on the road, and everything changes. We sit down with Acts chapter 9:17–31 and slow-walk the moment where Ananias steps into a dangerous assignment, lays hands on a blinded enemy, and says the words that still hit like thunder: “Brother Saul.”
From there, we trace what happens next in the book of Acts: scales falling, healing, being filled with the Holy Ghost, and the immediate shift from persecutor to preacher. We connect the dots to Paul’s own testimony in Acts 22 and the pattern he later follows in Acts 19, digging into why the name of Jesus, water baptism, and Spirit-filled living show up together so consistently in early Christian discipleship. If you care about biblical theology that stays close to the text, this study is for you.
We also bring the passage into the real world. What do you do when fear and politics crank the temperature up? We talk about praying for enemies, including Muslims and hostile voices, to have their own Damascus Road encounter with Jesus, and we challenge ourselves to live as citizens of the kingdom of God first, even when the culture feels shaky. If this helped you, subscribe, share it with a friend, and leave a review so more people can find Simple Discipleship Unfiltered. (*Recorded 3/9/2026)

When headlines feel like they’re written to scare you, where do you place your weight? We pull up chairs around the table and talk with total honesty about war, uncertainty, and the spiritual whiplash so many people are feeling right now. Our anchor stays the same: God is still on the throne, and we can’t build our peace on a political party, a president, or “everything going well.” If your mind has been racing, we’re here to help you steady it with Scripture, prayer, and a faith that can take a hit.
From there we go deeper than surface-level comfort. We talk about repentance as a daily posture, and we compare the modern American church to the Book of Acts church, the believers who lived through real pressure and still carried mercy, patience, and power. We unpack why suffering shaped Paul, why persecution scattered the early church and spread the gospel, and why God’s “potter’s wheel” process can feel intense while it’s forming a usable vessel. If you’re hungry for revival, we challenge the urge to manufacture God’s presence with hype, lights, or fog machines, and we share stories of the Spirit moving in ways no one could fake.
We also connect current events with a bigger biblical worldview: God working through history, the surprising growth of the church in Iran, and praying for the peace of Jerusalem as more than the absence of war. The conversation ends with practical encouragement for anyone living in fear, whether you’re in a conflict zone or just overwhelmed at home: faith over fear, hands lifted, gratitude in hard places, and trust that your test can become a testimony. Subscribe for more, share this with someone who needs steadiness today, and leave a review telling us what part hit home most. (*Recorded 3/4/2026)

Sit around the table with us as we continue to dig into "A Simple Presentation into The Book of ACTS" with Bro. Ernie.
Saul of Tarsus is convinced he’s doing God a favor, until a light brighter than daylight knocks him to the ground and a voice asks one piercing question: “Why are you persecuting me?” That moment on the road to Damascus is more than a dramatic conversion story. It’s a warning about misplaced zeal, a comfort for anyone who has been targeted, and an invitation to surrender with the simplest prayer we can pray: “Lord, what do You want me to do?”
We sit around the table and keep our study moving through Acts 9:1–16, connecting the early church’s persecution to the way faith gets tested in every generation. We recap how Philip’s obedience carried the gospel from Jerusalem into Samaria and beyond, and how God sometimes redirects us from visible success to a desert road assignment with eternal purpose. Then we slow down over Saul’s “Lord” language, the shock of Jesus naming Himself, and the truth that Christ takes what happens to His people personally.
From Saul’s three day blindness and fasting to Ananias’ fear and obedience, we talk about step by step guidance, repentance that costs something, and what it means to be a “chosen vessel.” We also wrestle honestly with suffering, persecution, and why we must watch our words toward believers and toward anyone made in God’s image. If you’ve ever needed a reset, a reality check, or a fresh hunger to see people encounter Jesus, this study will meet you there.

Join us "around the table" as we discuss The Gospel of St. John. This is powerful!!! “Let there be light” shows up long before Christmas and it’s bigger than the sun, the moon, or the stars. Around the table, we connect Genesis 1 to Jesus’ words in John, “I am the light of the world,” and we talk about what light actually does: it confronts darkness, separates what’s true, and brings order where there’s chaos. If you’ve ever felt like your life was “without form and void,” this conversation is for you.
We also get honest about something Christians argue about nonstop: theological boxes. We’re not here to score points for a label. We’re here to ask what Jesus said about Himself, why the “many paths” idea clashes with His own claims, and why Matthew 16 still cuts through the noise when Jesus asks, “Who do you say that I am?” We talk revelation versus intellect, idols versus a living Christ, and why the risen King can’t be reduced to a symbol on a chain.
Then the episode turns personal. You’ll hear raw testimony about growing up around religion but needing a real God, deliverance from addiction, Scripture coming alive through revelation, intercessory prayer that doesn’t quit, and the long road from fear of God to finally trusting His love. Wherever you’re listening from, you’re not too far gone, and your story isn’t over.
If this helped you, subscribe for more Bible-centered conversation, share it with a friend who needs hope, and leave a review so more people can find Simple Discipleship Unfiltered.

Recorded as curriculum for our new E3 School of Ministries, join Bro. Ernie as we dive into The Gospel of St. John. John’s opening line is not gentle. It grabs you by the collar: “In the beginning was the Word.” We sit down in a simple classroom-style Bible study and walk straight into John 1:1-18, letting Scripture define Scripture as we look at who Jesus is before we ever get to the manger, the miracles, or the cross.
We talk about why John’s Gospel feels different from the other three and how his perspective pushes us toward the divinity of Christ, not just the biography of Jesus of Nazareth. Then we give you four down-to-earth tools for Bible interpretation you can actually use: the principle of first mention, reading for context, complete mention across related passages, and praying while you practice listening for God’s guidance. No intimidation, no gatekeeping, just a clear path for deeper Christian discipleship.
From there we trace “the Word” as God’s communicated concept and eternal plan, using Jeremiah 1 to show how “the word of the Lord” comes as meaning and mission, not merely vocabulary. We connect John’s prologue to Revelation 13:8 and Acts 2 to highlight God’s foreknowledge, then anchor the claim with Colossians 1: Jesus as the image of the invisible God and the One through whom creation holds together.
We also wrestle with one of the most striking themes in Scripture: light before the sun in Genesis 1, and Jesus later saying, “I am the light of the world” in John 8:12. If you’ve wanted a Gospel of John Bible study that is both reverent and practical, this is your next listen. Subscribe, share this with a friend, and leave a review, what’s one verse from John 1 you want to understand better? (*Recorded 2/19/2026)

Forgiveness is a word Christians say easily until you’re staring at the damage someone actually did. We pull up chairs around the table and get unfiltered about betrayal, abuse, family harm, and the kind of heartbreak that makes you build a steel wall around your heart just to survive. Some of us are widowed. Some of us carry pain from marriages and relationships that broke vows and broke trust. And all of us know what it’s like to want justice while still hearing Jesus call us to forgive.
We walk through Bible verses on forgiveness and healing, including Ephesians 4:26–27 and Colossians 3:13, and we talk about the difference between forgiving and going back. Boundaries matter. Trust has to be rebuilt. And God never asks you to keep stepping into toxicity just because someone is “family.” We also talk about what happens when you never get an apology, or when the person who hurt you is already gone, and why forgiveness is still for your freedom.
Along the way we share the raw, human side of anger, the long road of emotional healing, and how Scripture becomes a real weapon when memories keep replaying. If you’ve ever felt weary, burdened, guarded, or ashamed, we point you back to Jesus, the One who won’t reject your brokenness and can heal the rooms you’ve kept locked. Subscribe, share this with someone who needs it, and leave a review then tell us: what are you still trying to forgive? (*Recorded 2/18/2026)

Join us "around the table" as we welcome Brother Binu along with Bro. Ernie to discuss Excel Ministries and the impact they are having around the world!
What if the surest way to change a community is to start with its children—and to serve every family without strings? We welcome Brother Binu Joseph from Kerala, South India, a founding leader of Excel Ministries, to share how a child-first, youth-centered strategy is equipping 300,000 kids each year with Scripture, mentorship, and practical help that strengthens whole neighborhoods.
You’ll hear how Excel built its own VBS curriculum from scratch, translated songs and lessons across more than a dozen languages, and created Excel Hope, a scholarship stream that funds education for children of every faith background. No pressure, no bait-and-switch—just credible love and long-term commitment. We dig into “Thy Word,” a pathway that helps beginners memorize 150 Bible verses in 150 days, then advances them through guided stages with mentors and courses that turn head knowledge into daily practice. Along the way, we talk media-savvy teen discipleship, action songs that make truth stick, and why honoring India’s laws has opened more doors than breaking them ever could.
The conversation widens to family culture and daily devotion—how strong home rhythms in Kerala anchor kids amid tech, trends, and peer pressure. We trace Excel’s growth from local clubs to chapters in India, Nepal, the Gulf, the UK and Ireland, the US, and Canada, and we spotlight outreach in public schools around drug and alcohol awareness. There’s a powerful testimony too: two girls who came home from VBS singing ended up leading their father—now a pastor—into a new life near the tea plantations.
If you care about youth ministry, missions, multilingual outreach, or practical ways the church can bless society, this story offers a blueprint: start early, teach clearly, serve widely, and stay faithful. Subscribe, share with a friend who loves kids and education, and leave a review to help more people discover voices like Brother Joseph’s.

Join us "around the table" once again as Bro. Ernie finishes up Chapter 8 in the Book of ACT. Get you notebooks and your Bibles out!
A desert road rarely looks like promotion, but when the Spirit redirects, we move. We pick up after a roaring revival in Samaria—healings, deliverance, and apostles ensuring believers receive the Holy Spirit—and follow Philip to a quiet appointment with an Ethiopian official reading Isaiah. What unfolds is a masterclass in simple, powerful evangelism: start with a question, open the Scriptures, preach Jesus, and invite a response that’s more than words.
We dig into Isaiah 53 and show how the early church proved Christ from the Old Testament, then track the eunuch’s response: “See, here is water.” Why does baptism surface so fast? Because the New Testament pattern is consistent—repentance, water baptism in the name of Jesus, and the gift of the Holy Spirit form the core of gospel application. We unpack why belief must become obedience, why baptism is immersion and covenantal, and how joy follows when faith moves from theory to action. And yes, we talk about Philip being “caught away” and share modern testimonies that stretch our comfort while honoring God’s sovereignty.
As the conversation widens, we address rising hostility toward Jews and Christians, and why an Acts-shaped faith—courageous, consistent, Spirit-led—matters now. Expect practical wisdom on witnessing with warmth, navigating missions lawfully abroad, and keeping integrity when the pressure mounts. We close by looking ahead to Saul of Tarsus in Acts 9, where the same unchanging gospel ambushes an unlikely heart and turns an enemy into an apostle.
If this journey stirs your faith, share it with a friend, subscribe for the next chapter, and leave a review with one insight you’re taking into your week. Your voice helps others find the message—and helps us keep the conversation going.

In Part 2 of Chapter 8 continuing the study "A Simple Presentation into The Book of ACTs", Brother Ernie recaps the first part of Chapter 8 and takes us into a deep dive! Get your notebooks ready!
Persecution was supposed to silence the church—but it turned out to be rocket fuel. When believers scatter from Jerusalem, Philip steps into Samaria with a simple message about the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus, and the city erupts with joy. Unclean spirits leave, the lame are healed, and crowds lean in. Yet even amid miracles, something crucial is missing: the believers haven’t received the Holy Spirit. That gap sends Peter and John on a focused mission to complete what God began.
We walk through the pivotal moment when the apostles lay hands on the Samaritan believers and the Holy Spirit is received in a way that can be seen and heard. The impact is so striking that Simon, a former sorcerer, tries to buy the power to impart the Spirit. Peter’s firm rebuke cuts through the noise: the gifts of God are not for sale. We talk about why spiritual authority cannot be monetized, how jealousy poisons calling, and why repentance is not a one-time doorway but a daily posture that keeps our hearts soft and our witness honest.
Along the way, we connect Acts 8 to the broader biblical story—Isaiah’s promise of refreshing, Ezekiel’s new heart and Spirit, John the Baptist’s prophecy, and Jesus’ invitation to ask the Father for the Holy Spirit. The thread is consistent: one gospel, one name, one baptism, one Spirit. We reflect on the early church’s wisdom in protecting both doctrine and experience, and we explore how real growth looks: humility that admits wrong, a conscience awakened by the Spirit, and a resilient will to press on.
If you’re hungry to see the gospel’s full shape—belief, repentance, baptism in Jesus’ name, and the gift of the Holy Spirit—this conversation offers clarity, challenge, and hope. Subscribe, share this episode with a friend who loves the book of Acts, and leave a review to tell us what sparked for you.

Join Sis. Diahanna, Sis. Audia & Sis. Anne talk about prophetic words going around the Body of Christ. Get your notebooks ready!!!
What if your words are undoing your own prayers? We dive into the practice of intercession with urgency and clarity, showing how Spirit-led prayer and disciplined speech can shape outcomes for our leaders, communities, and families. We open Scripture to anchor the approach—John 16 for guidance into truth, Romans 8 for the Spirit’s intercession when we don’t know what to pray, and Hebrews 4 for bold access to the throne of grace. Then we get practical: when a “prophetic” warning surfaces, do you agree with it or stand against it? We offer a simple discernment filter and a focused prayer strategy for protection, exposure of deception, and peace over every environment leaders enter.
Across the conversation, we challenge a subtle trap: praying for safety while repeating speculative harm with our mouths. Proclamation becomes prophecy, so guarded speech matters. You’ll hear a call to persistent, daily intercession that prioritizes repentance and alignment with God’s will over volume or emotion. We talk courts of heaven, agreement and authority, and why unity in prayer withdraws consent from darkness. And we don’t stay abstract—we apply this to a concrete situation, lifting specific, targeted petitions for the President, his family, and the teams who protect him by land, air, and sea.
If you’ve wanted a clear framework for powerful prayer that doesn’t drift into fear or performance, this conversation offers it. Expect biblical grounding, practical steps, and a communal prayer you can return to each day. Join us, add your agreement, and help carry a covering of protection and wisdom over our nation’s leadership. If this resonated, follow, share, and leave a review to help more listeners find the show—and tell us: what declaration are you standing on this week?
