Which are we responsible for; planting seeds, providing the right environment, or making the seeds grow and produce fruit?

Luke 12: 1-2Have any of you ever been called a Pharisee before? If you have it was probably in a negative way. Why is that? What were they so guilty of that even today their namesake is used as an insult? And is it used accurately today?

1 Peter 4: 16Think of the last time you met anger or hostility during a sensitive conversation. So quickly we like to point the fingers of fault and say it wasn't US being insensitive or arrogant, it was THEM. But I've found in my experience a lot of issues can be avoided by re-thinking how we say things. Don't assume you're suffering for Christ just because someone got angry with you; it might be that you're actively pushing them away with attitude.

Matthew 14: 1-12Have you ever made an oath in passion or in front of people that you later regretted? If you haven't, then count yourself lucky. Promises or oaths are usually binding and they can get us into trouble. Today we read a passage warning the power an oath can have when made in the moment or out of passion.

Colossians 1: 25-27Seems like a simple question right? But it goes deeper; is there an element of mystery to the Bible? If we want to understand it, can we? I personally thought this was a cut and dry answer, but recent study with some friends has shown me not everyone is on the same page about this topic. So I thought I would dive into God's word to see if I could find an answer.

Romans 12: 9-13One of our main callings as Christians is to make the world a better place, but when we hear this cliche remark we rarely hear about concrete steps to take to actually make the world better. For the next few mornings, I am going to outline some of the things Paul told the Romans to put into practice to improve the world around them. I hope we can implement these teachings as well in our modern world!
