Psalm 139 12-14Do we understand what kind of master we serve? Passages like this remind me He is truly all powerful and He knows what is best for us. He pushes away the darkness; it cannot survive in His presence. He knows us so intimately we could never truly understand ourselves the way He does, and that is brought front and center in today's devotional.

1 Timothy 6: 20-21Do you know the "why" behind the "what" you believe? Are your beliefs supported by scriptural or preachers? False knowledge and teachings where a concern way before the information age we live in now, so it's probably prudent to discuss Paul's warning to Timothy about false knowledge.

Matthew 5: 29-30Most of us have heard this before: if your eye causes you to sin pluck it out and throw it away! But what does Jesus really mean when He says this? Surely He is not pushing self-mutilation on His children right? Indeed, He is not; but today we will discuss the intention of this passage together!

2 Corinthians 12: 7-10When I am weak, then..... we can all finish that statement right? Paul is the one who spoke the phrase to the Christians of Corinth but we can absolutely apply this outlook of faith to our Christian lives today. Let's dive into today's passage and see what we can learn about strength through faith!

Psalm 46: 1-3, 9-10How often do we slow down and just think about life? Think about God and His magnitude and the comfort he brings. Life is busy, I'll be the first to attest to that. Sometimes we need to slow down and remember who is in charge and what He is capable of. Remember that He is driving the boat and we are just passengers.

James 3: 1-2Truth be told, I still get nervous when I record episodes. I am serving in the role of teacher when I do, and we know from passages like this teachers will be held to a higher standard one day. But... is there more to this passage? I think so, and it comes up right after the verse about teachers being held to a higher standard. Let's see what the Bible says about stumbling.

Titus 3: 1-2We are told several times to live Godly lives, but how do we go about this? There are several passages that come to mind on this topic, but the one we discuss today sums it up nicely. The world needs more Godly people who live Godly lives, so I think the topic is a very valid one.

Luke 5: 11Have you ever considered what the apostles left behind to follow Jesus? What have WE left behind today to take us His cross and live a Christian life? Today's brief discussion focuses on a moment when some apostles had to make a choice to leave behind things that would get in the way of following Jesus; can we do the same today?

Revelation 2:10We have all faced trials before and we will face them again. But as we discuss in today's episode, we must stay strong throughout the trials and recognize they will end. Plus, the reward we get for keeping the faith till completion is a pretty sweet reward. So whatever you're going through today, buckle up and keep on pushing through while holding on to your faith!

Psalm 139: 1-5Do we realize just how well God knows us? When I am lost or struggling, when I am unsure of my path, when I don't know what my future holds... that's when I need encouragement. Passages like the one above are very helpful to me personally when I am wandering in darkness, so I thought I would share my thoughts along with the Lord's words with everyone this morning in the hopes to encourage anyone who needs it!
