    Even better at second read
Theres nothing quite like a Jill Mansell book, and I loved this one when I read it years ago. Reading it again through audible was an even greater joy. The story was as fun and touching and involving as ever, but what a joy to have these lovely characters brought to life by such a brilliant reader. I hated it finishing so much, I just replayed the last few chapters and no doubt will listen to it over and over again when I need a cheering up.
    amazing
A really good book I enjoyed listening to it all the way through would recamend to anyone.
    Loved it!
I simply adore Jill Mansell's books and this one did not disappoint. I love the warmth of the characters, the lovely settings and happy ending.
    Predictable but I enjoyed it
As I have found with all of Jill Mansells books, The storyline was predictable but I enjoyed it and looked forward to listening to it.
    Prepare to be charmed!
What did you like most about You and Me, Always?
The variety of locations and the friendliness of the village.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Lily - She came across as very loving, giving and happy.
What does Susie Riddell bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you had only read the book?
Well she brought a bit more of the plummy accent I suppose rather than my accent!
Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
There were certain laugh out loud scenes, such as the movie premiere and the additional guest!

    Publisher's Summary:
The fourth book in the Stage Dive series. Don't miss a beat with the fourth and final novel in the New York Times and USA Today best-selling Stage Dive series from Kylie Scott.
Positive. With two little lines on a pregnancy test, everything in Lizzy Rollins' ordinary life is about to change forever. And all because of one big mistake in Vegas with Ben Nicholson, the irresistibly sexy bass player for Stage Dive. So what if Ben's the only man she's ever met who can make her feel completely safe, cherished, and out of control with desire at the same time?
Lizzy knows the gorgeous rock star isn't looking for anything more permanent than a good time, no matter how much she wishes differently.
Ben knows Lizzy is off limits. Completely and utterly. She's his best friend's little sister now, and no matter how hot the chemistry is between them, no matter how sweet and sexy she is, he's not going to go there.
But when Ben is forced to keep the one girl he's always had a weakness for out of trouble in Sin City, he quickly learns that what happens in Vegas, doesn't always stay there.
Now he and Lizzie are connected in the deepest way possible...but will it lead to a connection of the heart?

Liwould love to hear the men in this series may be there is a book five there esp Eva and David do love them dad the series has ended great read great job narater great job on both parts.....
A gritty, rock n roll series
Lizzie and Bens story well worth the wait
I hope this isn't the end I'd love to hear more about this brilliant band of characters. Heart and soul at its very best!!
    Fantastic
    Any additional comments?
The fourth and final book in the Stage Dive series, loved all these books, this included. Liz is fantastic, witty and an extremely awesome girl, friend and sister. Ben is the bass guitarist and a single manwhore who loves to do his own thing and does not want to be in a relationship at all. Ben and Lizzy strike up a friendship, mainly through texting and, after hooking up one night, Lizzy finds herself pregnant. The texts between Lizzy and Ben were one of my favourite parts of the story, they communicated a lot via text, it was a shame that they couldn't communicate as well as face to face at times. A fab story with all the usual characters, with some funny, passionate and hot moments. A fantastic end to a fantastic series.
    great listening
loved it, love Kylie Scott's books, hope she writes more. I've enjoyed 4 of her books so far

Master storyteller Judy Nunn has now sold over one million books worldwide. In her spellbinding new best seller, she takes us on a breathtaking journey deep into the red heart of Australia.
It is 2001, and as the world charges into the new millennium, a century-old dream is about to be realised in the Red Centre of Australia: the completion of the mighty Ghan railway, a long-lived vision to create the 'backbone of the continent', a line that will finally link Adelaide with the Top End.
But construction of the final leg between Alice Springs and Darwin will not be without its complications, for much of the desert it will cross is Aboriginal land.
Hired as a negotiator, Jessica Manning must walk a delicate line to reassure the elders their sacred sites will be protected. Will her innate understanding of the spiritual landscape, rooted in her own Arunta heritage, win their trust? It's not easy to keep the peace when Matthew Witherton and his survey team are quite literally blasting a rail corridor through the timeless land of the Never-Never.
When the paths of Jessica and Matthew finally cross, their respective cultures collide to reveal a mystery that demands attention. As they struggle against time to solve the puzzle, an ancient wrong is awakened and calls hauntingly across the vastness of the outback....

    Great history in a novel
I loved the way book provided historical perspective of both aboriginal and early settlers. The story provided some great characters that enabled reader to immerse themselves in the challenging conditions and ideas of the past.
Interesting tale from the Red Centre
Enjoyable story. Ambivalent about the reader who gets indigenous parts right but falters elsewhere in the tale.
    What a book!
This book was fantastic and held my interest from start to finish. I learnt such a lot about indigenous people, their culture and beliefs. Thank you.
Nowhere near as good as her other books.
I didn't get that draw to the book that I normally do for Judy's work, I really didn't enjoy the narration, slow, boring and at times mispronounced. The ending of the book seemed rushed and silly. It won't stop me reading more of her books, just didn't enjoy listening to this one.
    spit it out
wonderful story superbly written sadly mutilated by the reader. several
times I almost gave up listening. it was so frustrating and having to go back and translate what was read into the word or phrase that I am sure wad written for example 'personal read but I am sure the author wrore personable. .this is the second time I have struggled with an actor reading. bi guess reading is a different skill and requires a wider vocabulsry to allow real expresion.

    Title: The Wooden Horseshoe
    Author: Leonard Sanders
    Narrator: Raymond Wallander

Length: 15 hrs and 19 mins
    Language: English
    Release date: 10-28-15
    Publisher: Bassic Voice Studio
    Genres: Fiction, Contemporary
    Publisher's Summary:
An uncanny understanding of both city-council operations and the newspaper business some 50 years ago gave Leonard Sanders the ability to write this powerful novel about a small Texas city and the men who run it. Sanders has combined the struggle for power in a local city government and the human-interest side of its effects on the people close to the inside in an appealing and revealing story centered around an ambitious water project designed to further the city's growth.
Different views about the future of the city arise from the personalities of those who must decide. Some council men, like local businessman Max Berger, put their own agendas before what should be done for the city. Others, like Dr. Travis McNeil and wealthy rancher Cal Masters, have the city's best interest at heart and must stand their ground to fight for what they believe is right.
By working through the plans for city expansion, the men who sit around the horseshoe-shaped council table come to realize the strains that they have been under from their work with the council. City Manager David Hartwell knows that the many hours he spends in the office have affected his family and have caused the problems they are facing. In the same way, newspaper reporter Tom Kencaide finds that his commitment to covering the council and exposing the truth has kept him from committing to his fiancée and reporting the news he feels the people should hear.

    Great book
I have been reading Jackie Collins books for years & always enjoyed them. This did not disappoint.
What an awesome book and LUCKY is back
If you could sum up The Santangelos in three words, what would they be?
    Sexy,Strong and Fantastic
Who was your favorite character and why?
Lucky.Having read only one of the lucky santangelo books before(lady boss) i was intrigued to see her "modern day" and i couldn't of wished for a better book totally kick ass and and interesting read
What does the narrators bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you had only read the book?
i like the different tone in the voice of the narrators i like to hear the reactions and to get a sense that i am actually in the book much more than i would of reading it although i do read often too.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
it was a book i was dying to know what was going to happen next rather long for one sitting but great book that i could put down
    Any additional comments?
please add more of jackie's books to audible
    going to miss her books
love all the Santanglos books. sad to hear her voice knowing she died just after I bought this book. great story could have been much longer but she was fighting cancer. brave woman.
Jackie Collins I will miss you
Started listening to this book before Jackie passed it was strange hearing her voice knowing she had passed but was a comfort she's such an inspirational woman. I have read everyone of jackies books there all exciting glamorous and full of drama I shall miss waiting for her next book but my thoughts are with her family at this sad time.
    An absolutely thrilling read!
If you could sum up The Santangelos in three words, what would they be?
    Racey, Thrilling, Glamorous
What did you like best about this story?
ah... that would be telling. but it was the moment two beautiful people who had dreamed of being together for years finally got together.
What about the narratorss performance did you like?
they were all amazing! I loved the Latin American accents for the voices of Allexandro and Rafaielle. The voice of Willow was just right for her character. I also love the fact that Jackie reads her books and she does the character of Lucky great justice.
Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Oh No I didn't cry or laugh because no one who tampers (for want of a better word) with the Santangelos ends up laughing. I was angry at some of the bad cruel characters but they all got done for in the end so that's what mattered:-)
    Any additional comments?
The Santangelos rank amongst one of the best books I've listened to.

    Narrator: Dion Graham
    Format: Unabridged
Length: 5 hrs and 1 min
    Language: English
    Release date: 06-25-15

    Genres: Fiction, Contemporary
    Publisher's Summary:
Johnny Get Your Gun (also known as Death for a Playmate) is the third in the Virgil Tibbs mystery series that began with In the Heat of the Night. In this story, a nine-year-old boy, lonely after a family move, shoots an older child who stole something from him, thus igniting the militant blacks and racist whites of 1960s Pasadena into a black-white conflict involving riots, brutalities, a chase through Disneyland, and a heart-warming as well as heart-breaking scene toward the end of the book that takes place in a baseball park of the California Angels. Here you will find childhood gone awry, racism that ought to shock but in context does not (we know it too well), and political conflicts that add fuel to the fire.

    WOW!
I am at a loss for words to truly describe how exceptional this book is! It truly is well written and this author we as truly a writer who had the foresight to write about how things should be! What a wonderful and great legacy to people of many generations yet to come while still being entertaining! Additionally, it is so refreshing to read such a well written book that doesn't have to use an excessive amount of foul language or explicit sexual encounters within the storyline. I would be very comfortable in allowing my grandchildren to read these books! Excellent work!
    Reads like juvenile fiction
A pretty good plot but the characters are disappointingly thin. In his "In the Heat of the Night," the characters were given a little depth and thought, as if they had real lives and could exist outside of the story. The characters here are stock--drawn just enough to make them visible in the story and nothing else. If you're interested in Virgil Tibbs, you'll get nothing here you didn't already know.
The plot is pretty good, but could have easily become a 2-part episode of "Dragnet" without almost no changes. Very disappointing.
Another great Virgill Tibbs novel - once I have read the ...
Another great Virgill Tibbs novel - once I have read the first one, I just had to read the rest!
    Five Stars
    One of his better ones
    Very Interesting
This book is not like any ive read before. Its very strange and is very thought provoking. I liked it a lot however. I wouldnt suggest just reading it casually because its meaning is far to deep to skim. I recommend. Enjoy
