Swamp Scarefest is a delightfully scary tale perfect for the Halloween season. Twins, Aidan and Olivia live near a swamp. The duo plan, with their parentsâ permission, to go camping along the bank of the swamp. They take their dog with them. The moon is full and the air is ripe for a scary story. Aidan loves to play tricks on his sister and he has plenty of tricks planned. Previously they found a copy of Tales from the Scaremaster on the bank of the swamp. Inside they find stories about a swamp monster. The stories start to come alive.

Swamp Scarefest is Book 2 in the Tales From the Scaremaster series. I enjoyed this spooky book. As other reviewers have mentioned this series reminds me of Goosebumps by author R. L. Stine. This series was written for middle schoolers but mature elementary will enjoy this series as will adults. This series is scary but not gore. How could this not be a good read when the authorâs pen name is B. A. Frade. Once you start reading this series you will be hooked and want the whole series. I suggest giving both book 1 and book 2 as a Christmas gift to your favorite reader. I encourage teachers to purchase this book for their classroom. Libraries will want several copies for this book wonât stay on the shelf.

A great read!

A great read. Took me back to my childhood and a dead house I remember close to where I lived. I couldn't put the book down until I knew what was in the dead house. A recommended read for adults as well as children. Looking forward to reading the author's next book in the series - A Nest of Snakes.

Paddington book

More great stories about Paddington, a must read for every fan of this charming bear! Two of the stories involved Paddington's Aunt Lucy, it was great to read more about her and finally meet her in one of the books after only hearing about her in so many of the other books!

A good fun read

What a surprise to meet Aunt Lucy in this book! Truly delightful! Of course that is not all and Paddington has several, very amusing escapades in this book. Ordered by the local inspector to attend school, Paddington is assigned to the class of Mr. Eustace. How will it go? Are there really worms in the faculty stew?

When a rogue sells Paddington a dud vacuum cleaner, Paddington, not knowing his vacuum is a dud, attempts to give Mr. Curry a helping hand! Uh oh! How about a day in court? As usual Paddington finds himself the center of attention. Laugh more than once when Paddington tries water skiing! Then there is getting fit with Mr. Curry, a game of rugby and time with Aunt Lucy.

Our kids LOVE the Paddington chapter books from our library. Lots of laughs all the way around! Liz
