What a nice story for elementary students
This is the second book about Ociee, written well and enjoyable. It is great to have "good" books for young adult readers ---- family centered and morally based.

Max and the Map - The Odyssey
After finding an old book of maps, Max and his 2 friends are "transported" to the Mediterranean Sea where they experience the events of Homer's Odyssey. This was a nice and simple version of the classic poem.

This is really a great adventure book for any young reader
This is really a great adventure book for any young reader. It really has it all-a moral driven adventure, strange and exotic creatures, mystical powers, and even a dragon!
I loved the actual concept of Wizartry, I won't give it away here but it really is a unique concept that helps keep the story fresh and entertaining, I think all readers will be eager to learn more about Wizartry and the world of Inner Earth.
Aside from a cool story and concept there really are great lessons here for young readers. The characters show a lot perseverance when the going gets tough, and I think the biggest lesson young readers will take away is the importance and value of friendship.
Great book for young readers, or anyone as I was quickly sucked into the story as well! It sounds like there are/will be more Doodles books, and I can't wait.
Any child and adult would get great pleasure in reading this book
This is one of the most creative books for children that I've ever read since Harry Potter. Any child and adult would get great pleasure in reading this book. It will take you to a magical place and have kids wanting more.
Another great story by a talented new author.
This is the second book, in what I hope will be a multi-book series, about Doodles Lanhorn, a middle school aged boy with a special talent who is ridiculed and bullied because he is a bit different. In this well written adventure, Doodles, with his unique talent and the help of his friends, saves his family and his town, and protects a very special place filled with magic and wonder. In this story we follow Doodles as he hones his special abilities, grows in confidence and learns the importance of trusted friends. This is a fun book to read for young teens and adults, with a powerful message about standing tall.
    Excellent read!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and am eagerly awaiting a third opportunity to spend time with Doodles and his friends. The descriptive writing will take you into Inner Earth along with Doodles. I highly recommend this book.
    Excellent!!
I loved reading this book! It is well written and takes you on a journey. I especially like this book because it is engaging and teaches profound life lessons. Anyone would love this. Excellent! Highly recommend!

Finally! A return to the classic summer vacation page turner. Kay is a modern day Nancy Drew.
Full disclosure, I heard about this book from the author himself, whom I met recently. He told me this was his first book and, out of pure curiosity, I bought a copy as soon as it appeared on Amazon. This is a fast-paced, clean read. Parents will be pleased that thereâs no foul language, sexual situations, orâthank heavensâno vampires, zombies or teens fighting for food. I actually learned something about Washington crossing the Delaware in 1776. However, itâs not overloaded with history. The history merely sets up the mystery at the beginning and creates the intrigue for the teens. There are some twists in the plot that any age group would find interesting. I found myself anxious to find out how deep the young Kay would get involved in the mystery. There are also some very nice surprises at the end that I didn't see coming. I'm now anxious to read the author's next book which has the same characters. Crossed and Found is a great summer beach/mountain vacation read, or for anytime, actually.
    HISTORY MYSTERY
Came across Crossed and Found while looking for some summertime reading for three granddaughters - ages ten and sixteen. I liked the historical linkage of the book to a current day mystery targeted to their age group. After reading it I recommended it to my granddaughters. All three thoroughly enjoyed it. They particularly liked the two primary characters -Anna and Kay and their sometime strained friendship and spirit of adventure coupled with their discovery of the historical document that drives the plot.
Greater development of the characters and more detail regarding the exact nature of the document would probably strengthened the tale but overall the consensus by all parties was a very good read. All are looking forward to a follow on history mystery due later this summer.
    Best mystery book! :)
Crossed and Found has a very good plot! It is a mystery book that is full of mystery's and surprises. It is the first mystery book I have read but i'd say the best book I have read as well. If you have not read this book you should. Sonny Barber is a very good writer.
    Suspenseful history mystery.
Great book for young teenagers. Solid mystery but written in a descriptive manner without involving sex and violence. Mystery holds your attention well. Can't wait till the next book to see what the girls get into next.
I read this book. And "yes", I am ...
I was interested in the Crossed and Found summary which said it was a "modern-day mystery with a historical twist." The story moved quickly and the little bit of American history was very interesting, yet didn't slow down the story.

Title: Wilf the Mighty Worrier Saves the World

    Format: Unabridged
Length: 1 hr and 34 mins
    Language: English
    Release date: 04-05-16
    Publisher: Quercus
Ratings: 5 of 5 out of 1 votes
    Genres: Kids, Ages 8-10
    Publisher's Summary:
Wilf is a little boy who worries quite a lot about quite a lot of things. About almost everything. He's frightened of stuffed animals. Peanut butter makes him nervous. And as for the awful crawly insects that have waggly feeler-thingies instead of eyes? Well, that is just something that doesn't bear thinking about.
When The Most Evil Man in the World moves in right next door, Wilf is understandably alarmed. Panicked, in fact - totally and utterly freaked out. The neighbor, Alan, is a self-styled Evil Lunatic, with a grumpy robot sidekick and a dog named Kevin Phillips to prove it. Seriously, what kind of maniac gives his dog a surname? And why do the three of them always look like they're up to no good?
The only ally Wilf has in his desperate struggle to put a stop to Alan's ridiculous - but also quite upsetting, really, when you think about it - plans to destroy the world is his little sister, Dot (and her trusty "blanky", of course).
Could this be the end of the mighty worrier Wilf, or is it the beginning of a legend?

    Members Reviews:
Awful Christmas story -- not appropriate for children and not recommended for adults
I am more than willing to read a Christmas story that detours from the path of "normal" if it is well written. I was intrigued by the idea of vampire snowmen and was willing to read this story with my sense of humor well prepared to be assaulted. Assaulted it was and then some. Vampire elves I can deal with. Vampire snowmen okay. Dark elves no problem, but when I started reading about zombie elves and Santa Flaws it was just too much. The story was not well written, it is definitely not something that I would want any child of mine to read, and it was not even something that I would recommend to adults. The most imaginative part of the story was the fact that there were vampires and zombies, which could have been fun if it was not so stupid! The author did not use his imagination to write this story beyond the creation of the characters. Don't waste your time, even if you picked this up free like I did.
For the young horror fan in your life...
The great thing about zombie authors is their dedication to the genre...just when I think they have reached the limits of the imagination, I stumble upon something that expands zombie fiction into other genres - engulfs them, really. NOM NOM NOM! While other genres add glitter to their monsters, one author has brought the zombie culture to the North Pole...and vampire snowmen -- a little something from various sub-genres of horror, mixed with suspense, without giving the little ones nightmares.
When I realized that I would be reading a story about vampire snowmen and zombie elves, I didn't know whether to laugh or beat myself with my laptop. After carefully noting in the intro that the author LOVES Christmas and the holiday season, I decided to approach this book with the same seriousness I would give to any fantasy tale. Keep in mind, this is young adult fiction, with the goal of appealing to both children and adults...so, not quite as dark as you might expect, and age appropriate for grade school & up. My 5yr old loved it & wants "the guy who madeNightmare Before Christmas(Tim Burton) to make the book into a movie."
There are Light Elves and Dark Elves; the Light Elves make the toys, and are enjoying a well-deserved night off at an enchanted amusement park. Laidenn realizes that they are about to be attacked by vampire snowman. This is where the author's talent for detail starts to show, when Laidenn prepares to fight with bags of salt. As Laidenn tries to make the other elves aware of the impending danger, we learn more about how the light and dark magic work at the North Pole. We also discover that there are actually two different breeds of vampires as well.
I laughed at the description of the horrible things that took place in Santa's workshop, for instance, Barbie heads with Ken bodies! (Not necessarily scary, but kids will understand how troublesome this can be.) Santa defends his workshop with the stealth and swiftness that would make Van Helsing proud. Don't let the fat, jolly appearance fool you - this Santa has the moves of a warrior.
