PUSHY DAUGHTER NOT SO ROMANTIC MAN GIVES A ROMANTIC WOMAN A NEW HAPPY LIFE

This was nice ending for Sherry after her experience with Colby. She went to Texas to work and found her soul mate and even got a daughter to love. Her new daughter wants a sister or brother as soon as possible. She is a club see friend with Norah and Rowdy who live in Texas also but with Rowdys money he sends a plane for her to visit with them. Sherry married Cody who owns a ten thousand acre ranch. I would say that the three sisters Valerie, Stephanie, Norah and her friend Sherry all found husband's who can take care of them financially well. I have enjoyed this series from Debbie Macomber very much and recommend them to everyone.

A must read!

This book my have been the 4th in the series, buy it would be a good stand alone too. I thoroughly enjoyed it!

Lone Star Lovin'

Debbie Macomber writes great books and you just can't go wrong reading any of them. This story takes place in Texas. As with many of her books, you'll find this one full of twists and turns with well developed characters (when does she not have well developed characters!), and a plot that will keep you turning the pages long after you were supposed to stop to do something else! You'll not find her books sounding repetitious because she has too much imagination to let that happen. Enjoy!

An enjoyable and entertaining series

The fun of reading Debbie Macomber series usually rests in the twists and turns she takes to get to the expected happily-every-after (or expectations thereof). This series is no exceptions and was a thoroughly summer read.

Book #4 review.

I enjoyed reading this book very much, couldn't seem to put it down. This whole series was very enjoyable. A whole lit of gossip went on in that small town of Pepper, felt sorry for Sherry and Cody.

Couldn't finish because of narration

Would you try another book from Victoria Dahl and/or Montana Chase?

I enjoyed all of Dahl's previous books. They are light and sweet with a dash of steam. But this book was unlistenable due to the narrator.

Would you recommend Crazy for Love to your friends? Why or why not?

No.

Would you be willing to try another one of Montana Chases performances?

Never.

Inept Narrator

I really wanted to hear this book, but the narrator was so distracting that I kept stopping. My rating is based on not having the patience to finish listening to the book. What a waste of money. Narrator Montana Chase is on my "do not purchase" list.

How a narrator can kill a book

I love Victoria Dahl and thought I would love this auto book but the narrator is so unskilled you can hardly tell which character she is reading from the next. After the first hour and a half of constantly rewinding to understand what she is talking about, I gave up and didn't finish the book. Now, I'm going to have to buy the book and read it. Another annoying thing the narrator does is she sounds as if she is reading a children's book. Maybe she should just stick to that and she would be ok in this business. I'm never buying another auto book narrated by Montana Chase.

Crazy but cute

This is a quirky story about a couple of crazy people but it is kind of cute. Pretty far fetched with all the Bridezilla stuff. Chloe seems like she is a normal character caught up in abnormal circumstances, Max on the other hand is nuts but likeable. I don't think the side story of Jen and Max's brother fit and a couple of times I lost track of who was with who (this should have been only hinted at and put into a second book.)

The narrator was okay but not a lot of difference between the voices of Jen and Chloe which made it confusing at times.

I gave it 4 stars because I like a quirky romance but it may not be for everyone.

Worst narrator ever!

This book wasnt for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

If you can overlook the terrible narration, this story might actually be interesting. I was so distracted by the speech pattern of Montana Chase that I couldn't keep my concentration on what was happening with the story line. After an hour of listening, I finally gave up and quit. Don't waste your money or your credit on this one.

What could Victoria Dahl have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Get a better narrator.

Yes, I enjoy Debbie Macomber books. They're predictable and sweet.

Not up to expectation.

Story line was okay. Left me waiting for the story to begin. The reader used an awful voice when he would read the parts of the woman roles. Asking for a refund.

But her secret isn't safe in Eclipse Bay - and neither is her heart...

Does returning to your childhood memories bring closure

Once again, I enjoyed another Jayne Ann Krentz's story. Her characters have a sense of humor that I enjoy a lot and her books are populated with the offbeat in people and businesses. This 3rd book in the trilogy of Eclipse Bay brings back many of the people from earlier books, and it's like bumping into old friends on the street. The mystery behind this story wasn't as complicated as it was in earlier books, but it was fun to read and a very pleasant to reread and greet old friends.

JAK at her BEST!!

There are two things about JAK: She is one of my favourite writers and secondly, I have found her works - except for the Off World books - to be off beam during the last five years. She is great, but it's like she polished the gem just a little too much, and in that glossy mainstream treatment of her romances, she lost the fire that made her so special. She is one of the few writers I collect in hardback (Lynsay Sands, Melanie Jackson and Trish Jensen would be the others, but alas they are not in hardback yet, mores the pity). I still buy all JAK's works, but I have been just a bit let down by her last few books. I enjoyed the first two Eclipse Bays, where she actually showed the flair of catching that spark again, and in this the third, she shows she still has the magick!!!

This is an utterly delightful, pure JAK at her best. AZ Snow is back with her conspiracy theories still going, the Bay community is full of the gossipy small town characters that made the first two so special, but in this one, she adds all the fire, passion, wit and humour that has made her famous.

Nick Harte (brother of the Harte sisters that married the Madison brothers) has returned to Eclipse Bay for the Summer with his son Carson, a miniture version of himself. Nursing a wounded heart, Nick is hesitant to get too close to any woman, but he cannot stay away from Octavia Brightwell - the neice of the woman that caused the Harte-Madison feud oh so many years ago.

Octavia runs the local art gallery, but her real reason for being there was to somehow fix the errors of the past created by her aunt, and see the Harte-Madison feud put to rest. Only by the time she has settled in the Bay, there two unexpected weddings in the Hart-Madison clan, uniting them once again, so her mission is moot and she feel at a drift, without purpose in her life.

She adores Carson, and is very attracted by Nick Harte, but is leary getting involved with him. The whole town knows two things about Hardhearted Harte - on the first date he gives women THE TALK saying there is no hope for a commitment, and that he never stays the full night with any woman.

Members Reviews:

The star goes to the Narrator Not the Writer

I'm really embarrassed the author is woman. Boring plot, unlikable characters and I don't think I've ever disliked a heroin in a book as much as this one. If you like insulting & self absorbed characters then ... you just might like this one. The hero of the book is a whiner and a real idiot for a supposed genius. There is no anticipation of what's going to happen at all. No feeling, NO HUMOR (which is why I was interested to begin with) Not at all a fun read. I skipped several chapters and still missed nothing. I would take a pass.

A love story!

Definitely rated R- and although I don't usually read books like this-I loved the story and the characters. The narrator was great too. Would LOVE to read a less graphic novel by this author, cause she really knows how to tell a story!!

She liked to be watched. By strangers.

And she still does.

Lucky for Gemma, her sexy new neighbor, Chev Martinez, is totally enjoying the show. But how well will her voyeuristic little game hold up when Chev decides to venture from behind the scenes?

Members Reviews:

Blazing afterthought

This book is a disappointment, specifically, I think, because it wasn't written for the series. The author spends a great deal of time and energy on the newly divorced woman's rise to independence. Nice for chick lit, if a bit over done. The romance that's thrown in, never gets off the ground. Not easy to make voyeurism dull - but she manages it and, there's none of the necessary tension between characters to make their interactions romantic.

Too bad.

Description,description, description!

These women writers of life and love in the English countryside make me wish I was there! From perceptive details in entangled relationships, to endearing descriptions of children and the local dogs she entwined her plot of the dance in cozy, approachable narrative that includes the reader because the descriptions are so vivid you can see them. Troublesome, difficult matters are handled with refreshing honesty,.....perhaps better than an average person might attempt.
