Nice book based on a great idea.

I thought this was a great concept right from the start. As a father of three, I am flooded with technology all over my house. I have iPads, iPods, Playstations, Nintendos, Wiis and every handheld version of those that are available. We have had moments where we sit together in the same room, all of us on our phones or devices, and donât speak to each other for 10 minute periods. Itâs crazy. The concept that this book is based upon is wonderful.

I would have liked to have had a little more written about how to get your family to go along with the idea that they should put down the technology for a minute so they could all reconnect. That is the hill that I see as the toughest to climb. As far as the rest of the ideas, I loved the last one. I gave this book to my wife, so weâll see if the last set of ideas has merit very soon. The part about engaging in sports and outdoor activities was something that hit home for us as well. Nice book based on a great idea.

First off, I must say the title of the book gave me a chuckle because one must have access to the internet to even get this book.

All the ideas came straight from the internet. Now I guess you could read a book to your partner, while camping in the woods. Oh and on taking care of a pet, if you have a pet please take care of it, with or without the internet.

This book is commonly known as a scamlet. The author has it set up where it automatically opens to 11% so he gets paid for borrows rather you actually read this book or not.

If you want some giggles, pick this book up on the free days. Do not waste your money buying it.

Iâve noticed at more than one family gathering that adults and kids alike have their faces in their phones or video games. There are some good ideas here for enjoyable things to do with your time that may have been neglected or forgotten with all the technology-based entertainment available now. Most of the suggestions presented here can be done alone or with others, and many are free. Good stuff.

Time to re-connect with home

I'm a big fan of technology but some times it seems as if we spend too much time connected to another world and not our home world. This is a very clever idea for a book and something I will be trying out with the younger people in my family over the holidays. Time to re-connect with home.

Very simple ideas that anyone can do. Nothing here that I can see that isn't obvious. I just skimmed the book, and I didn't find anything that would make me think "Wow, what great idea!"

Very basic, common sense information. Unless you simply have never been taught the a-b-c's of thinking ahead or planning, you likely will not find much you don't already know in this short "book."

Great Ideas

This book is based on ten key ideasâeach is presented in a chapter. It is easy to read and well-organized. This book also provides techniques and tips for simplifying specific areas in your life. A simplified life should lead to more productive days. This book is more about prioritizing and setting goals so you spend your time doing what is most important to you. There is also a chapter on clutterâwhich has always been my downfall. There are some good ideas for me in that section. The chapter on simplifying your shopping is also helpful. The book also has tips for organizing your papers and systematizing you house. It is up to you how far you want to go with this.

Great Review on the Details of testing and Preparing the Soil

For a beginner the information on Sunlight, Watering, and especially preparing the soil before planting. The author makes the major point of using soil testing. One very confusing reference, is the constant referral of compost as manure. The author discussed ph, organic matter, drainage and type of soil spoke about Nitrogen, too much or too little. He did not say much about Phosphorus or Potassium. Mentioned Blossom End Rot but barely mentioned using Sulfur or Calcium to address pH. It's an ok overview for an experienced gardener. But there are whole books on just growing tomatoes. Let alone the other basics you might want in your salad bowl. Devoting your first years to a salad garden, is a good start, tomatoes, bell peppers, Cucumbers, onion sets, if you love salads, add something new each year. Mastery Breeds Confidence, then branch out to squashes, or Eggplants or herbs, or more complex growing of plants. I will say one thing he definitely believes in organics, there were several barbs about"chemicals" ruining the garden. MaryAnn Coy-Schuerger.

I want to try to grow tomatoes at my backyard because my family loves to eat tomatoes. When I saw this book I immediately grabbed and read it. This book shows to me the basics in growing tomatoes. This book explained to me the factors influence tomato growth. I learned soil testing strategies that test if my backyard soil suit for growing tomatoes. I also learned how to care for my growing tomatoes. I am ready to plant tomatoes in my backyard and I hope it will be successful.

Tomatoes are good in our skin. It has so many beneficial effects in our lives . Likewise I really loved to plant trees and vegetable plants. It seems so nice to see your plants growing fast.
