Welcome to another great episode of the Sing Second podcast. We bring you the stories and happenings at the Naval Academy and the Naval Academy Alumni Association and Foundation.
February is African American History Month, and we'll be bringing you interviews all month long with alums. We start with Mary McElroy '87. Mary played basketball at USNA. Became a Marine...and now has established herself as a leader and administrator in college athletics and as an active member of the Board here at AA&F. From being the Athletic Director at Georgia State to advocating for women's athletics in the Atlantic Coast Conference...Mary is making a difference.
We also won FOUR STARS vs Army this past weekend. Gymnastics won the star without Isaiah Drake...and got to sing second. Class of 00' alum, former gymnast and husband to another active duty grad, Captain Ken Hockycko joins us from his porch on Upshur Road to talk about what the Academy and Gymnastics did to make him the fighter pilot and officer he is today.
That and more on Sing Second...brought to you by ProMD Health in Annapolis, Scott Schuetter '00 and the Shrek Realty Crew, and StratasCorp Technologies.
Beat Army...Always!
