If ever there was a singer that should be studied by others to learn about the many facets of the music business it is Buck Owens. In this audio broadcast you will hear about his early years in poverty and being dirt poor.
But as destiny would have it fate would play a part in this artist becoming the legendary singer, songwriter, recording artist and expert money manager that he was.
He was blessed with good parents who taught him about character and hard work. They moved from Texas to California as many families did when they heard that jobs were plentiful there on the West coast.
Musically at a young age his father had bought him his first guitar and when Buck was thirteen years old his father had bought him a Mandolin which was one of Buck's favorite instruments,
It was in the labor camps that Buck said a lot of his musical background came from. He would constantly ask questions to the adults that played instruments on how they did certain things with music. Due to his insatiable thirst for learning about music he continued to ask questions of many singers such as Ray Charles and others about their craft.
The added bonus to this story is about his money management skills in investing for the later years when his recording years were finished.

JP Harris and The Tough Choices have paid their dues with the rocky road to success.
For example on his way to his next show date JP's vehicle had so many miles used up on it that there were no more useful ones left. Even though being stranded he made it to his next show to render a top show to the audience.
In the face of a lot of adversity he has always managed to muster up some positive thinking and solve the current problem.
He is a country music singer that really knows Honky Tonk music. His album I'll Keep Calling with songs like "Two for The Road, Badly Bent" and "Take It All" have lyrics that will captivate you with memorable lines from the songs.
In 2012 the album I'll Keep Calling with little promotion due to a meager budget won Best Country Album of 2012 and in 2014 Rolling Stone Magazine named JP Harris one of 2014 Country Tours Not to Miss.

Alison Krauss' destiny with music started at an early age. She began studying classical violin at the age of five but soon switched to bluegrass.
When she was 16 years of age in 1987 she released her debut solo album Too Late to Cry. Her next album in 1990 was I've Got That Old Feeling and was notable as she earned her first Grammy Award for it.
In 1995 her album Now That I Found You: A Collection was a compilation or older releases and some covers of her favorite works by other artists. The album sold two million copies and became her first doule-platinum album.
Alison has won many awards over the years but some people are not aware that she is tied with Quincy Jones in second place as a winner for the highest number of Grammy Awards overall. Each has received 27 Grammys.
Even though Alison is primarily known as a country and bluegrass singer she has shown her diversity time and again. She has collaborated with former Led Zeppelin singer Robert Plant on the album Raisin Sand. Two of my favorite songs on it are "Gone Gone Gone" (Done Moved On) and "Killing The Blues."

Eric Clapton as a guitarist studied his craft relentlessly. He started playing an acoustic guitar in his early teens and practiced long hours learning to play chords of Blues songs by playing along with the records.
Some of the more notable groups that he played with were the Yardbirds and The Bluesbreakers.
Following that he joined the band Cream and they had large commercial success selling millions of record.
Eric had many interesting comments regarding the group called The Band. He stated that with them the guitar was put back into perspective as being an accompaniment in the song since the priority was the song not the instrument.
Over the years he worked with so many artists such as George Harrison and The Beatles, Duane Allman, The Who’s Pete Townsend, Dr. John, Leon Russell, Stephen Stills, Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters, Bob Dylan, Jeff Beck, Phil Collins, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and many others.
