Another week, another big-time matchup for Notre Dame.  This week it's #7 Cincinnati for the 9th ranked Irish with Notre Dame back on their home turf, but with injury questions surrounding the QB position.  Cincy doing a whole lot of trash talk had Frank fired up this week too.  

All of this and a lot more in an action-packed podcast that Frank needed two beers for this week.    

Notre Dame took care of business again this weekend with a 41-13 beatdown of Wisconsin that wasn't always pretty but got the job done on the road against a top-25 team.  The Irish now sit at 4-0 even though many in the media picked Wisconsin to win the game and Vegas had the Badgers as 6.5 favorites.  

That and Frank tries a new 10.2% ABV stout all for the sake of the pod. 

We preview the Notre Dame - Wisconsin game by talking about how too many in the media and even within the Notre Dame fan base have crowned Wisconsin as some kind of unbeatable team for Notre Dame even though the Badgers haven't done much this year.  We also had a lot of questions so we talked about a lot this week. 

Well, we hoped that we'd have a clearer picture of what this team is and maybe isn't after week three, but we're still left wondering what is this team's floor and what's its ceiling.  We saw some good things and some bad against Purdue but left it still wondering how good the Irish could be.  In this episode we discuss. 

This week we previewed the Purdue game by talking about whether or not the Irish will play to the potential we all saw in the preseason or if the team we saw the last two weeks is just the team we will see for the course of the 2021 season. 

Frank also changed up his beer selection this week and went with a stout.  If it works, it looks like it will be an early Stout season.  

Notre Dame has been living on the edge the first two weeks of the 2021 season.  Back to back close wins over lesser opponents has the fanbase concerned and the Irish dropping in the polls.  The signs of promise are there, even if you have squint real hard to see them right now, but the concerns are glaring as well. Greg and Frank talk through what they saw against Toledo that should give Notre Dame fans some hope while acknowledging that time is running out for the Irish to fix their problems.

It's been a wild week for Notre Dame football since their OT win over Florida State and it's actually only been a few days.  The injury bug hit early this year as the Irish deal with a rash of long-term injuries to key contributors for 2021.  We break down all that happened this week with an eye towards the future and how all of the comings and goings will impact the team this year.

Well, that was quite the opener for Notre Dame football this weekend.  The Irish at times looked like a team ready to make another playoff run and at times a team that could lose multiple regular-season games.  

And no, we did not discuss Brian Kelly's post-game interview that some people had fake outrage over because it is not even worth discussing.  

Frank and Greg debated whether or not Notre Dame should be able to more than comfortably cover the ridiculously low 7.5 point spread this week and what kind of performance should have Irish fans pleased versus wanting more.  

There's been some chatter outside among national media types that this year's Notre Dame team is going to not be very good because the Irish lost a lot of talent.  Those people seem to want to ignore that the replacements Notre Dame has coming in to replace them are just as good in many cases though and to be honest, we got a little tired hearing about Notre Dame potentially only winning 8 games in 2021.  So, we ran through the schedule looking for losses, and guess what folks?  It's hard to many any, let alone four.
