In the final episode of season one of Single to the Glory, I'm reading 40 letters I wrote to my future husband.
These letters, written in 2020, are full of yearning, adoration, agony, hope, and doubt. I share them not because I think they contain important truths. Quite the opposite—I think you’ll find I’m a mess with a lot of baggage to carry and unrestrained emotion.
But I think they’re real and they expose some of the most intense things in our hearts as single members of The Church of Jesus of Christ. Maybe by sharing them you’ll feel less crazy, less alone. I just want you to know and to feel that your heart is good, your desire for love is natural, and we have a loving Savior who is with us through it all.

President Thomas S. Monson once said, “Choose your love; love your choice.” But doesn’t it seem like making intentional choices about dating and marriage is more difficult than ever before? I believe there is a fundamental attack happening on our agency and it is breaking our hearts and paralyzing us as we seek relationships.
I want to dig deep into why choosing to love is spiritually necessary, even as we confront pain and exhaustion.

This episode is the beginning of something I’m calling Big Sister Knows Best—a space where I’ll answer your questions and give you the kind of love and real-talk a big sister would.
So if you have questions about dating, faith, or anything in between, I would love to hear from you.
But for today, I want to start with the piece of advice I wish I could go back and give myself.

If God has your heart, He isn’t going to give it to just anyone. God wants someone to be consistent, clear, and covenantal with you. If you don’t think God would feel good about how someone treats you, they aren’t the one.
I love the hymn which states, "Here's my heart Lord, take and seal it, seal it for thy courts above."
In Episode 7, let's talk about the state of our hearts and how we can surrender them to God more fully. When we do so, everything about dating changes.

There is so much distortion about the way we should look, especially as it relates to dating, that we have, as the good book says, gone down forbidden paths and are lost.
As I’ve wrestled with my own body image issues, I’ve learned there is a surprising path through the temple that speaks about the glory of our bodies and how we can tend to them. When we allow the temple to be a place for our most intimate concerns, we will find that the Lord has provided powerful direction for all aspects of our lives.
In Episode 6, I get a bit intimate and talk about my own disgust for my body and how the temple has helped me.

Curiosity is one of the most overlooked spiritual gifts in relationships. When we’re truly curious, we see people differently, and we may just see them in a way that guides us to true love. The right kind of question can turn a surface-level interaction into sacred ground. But we seem to spend more time evaluating people than truly wondering about them. We have forgotten how to ask the kinds of questions that truly connect us.
This episode explores what we learn about curiosity from the questions Jesus Christ asked and how His example can help us connect on dates.

Marriage in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is a pretty big deal. It’s often framed as the pinnacle of what we believe about heaven and what God wants for us. We need marriage. We want it. We work for it. And I think the wounds are so devastatingly deep and painful when it doesn’t happen.
This episode is for all those who’ve given up on marriage. I want to rekindle your hope and give you some peace. I know, I know, that is a tall order, but I'm going to try.

We don't like to be needy. But what if, at our most divine, we are made to be just that? That our longing, our dreaming, our wishing, our hoping, is intensely celestial and God-given. I think most of us strive not to need anything or anyone. But I believe we were made to need each other, and seeking to fulfill this need is one of the most beautiful expressions of our faith in a loving God and the gospel of Jesus Christ.
In Episode 3, I share how we can lean into this vulnerable, beseeching, divinely appointed need despite what may be very lonely circumstances.

Why is it so hard for us to feel beloved? Why do we feel so unworthy of love when it is part of our eternal identity? There are so many voices out there that lie to us about the really important truth of who we really are. It isn't surprising to me that the way we feel about ourselves and the way we date and marry are so connected.
As we go throughout this episode, I share some of my shame and how I've confronted the voices that tell me I'm not good enough. Then we'll explore some practical ways to embrace our belovedness and let that truth change our lives.

In this first episode of Single to the Glory, I share the story of a night filled with desperation, a prayer on scratchy carpet, and the answer that changed everything for me. What followed was not a quick fix, but an invitation to know God more deeply and to reimagine what it means to love and be loved.
Together we'll explore what it means to “single to the glory of God" and how that shift can bring us clarity, peace, and a deeper understanding of love.
