We had two dreamers allow us to break down what the social instinct looks like in their social-dominant dreams. The dreams illuminate how social vulnerability can create images that may be helping a dreamer understand what they’re giving a lot of attention to through their instincts.

We did our homework and asked the unconscious to reveal our relationships with the self-preservation instinct in our dreams. For this episode, we look at Sammy’s sp/so dream, first. We observe what self-preservation symbols appear and how she’s relying on her dominant instinct for a lot of her daily actions and decisions. 

The next dream comes from Kristen as we observe how an so/sp dream would address the self-preservation instinct when it’s secondary. The relationship is just as rich and revealing as to how much neglect or judgment is coming from the dream ego in trying to understand something that isn’t as close to home. 

If you’d like to try your own dream incubation on the self-preservation instinct, you can try writing about what you already know the night before, and/or write a question down 10 times before you go to sleep; “what can I learn about my relationship with self-preservation in my life?”
