Have you been confused about Type 6 and Type 7? Today's video looks at several examples of these two head types; 6 wing 7 and 7 wing 6. These types are notoriously mistaken for one another, so giving them both a thorough look-through and understanding could help discern what makes them similar and what makes them different.Leave a comment about these two types and what aspect of the enneagram you'd like to see covered as a Thursday video! We are born with all three instincts undifferentiated and undefined. It is through life and our development as human beings that we begin to have a relationship with them subjectively and they can be measured as fixations of identity through the body objectively. This video answers a listener's question about the idea of being 'turned on' that is often talked about when looking at the sexual instinct. The host sets up the somatic and perceptual experience of the instincts, how they live in the body, and how to start differentiating them. Video examples are used to get a visual and verbal insight into what the enneagram measures in a personality.

Leave a comment if you have a question about an aspect of the enneagram and you'd like to see it covered on a Thursday video!

The 1-to-1 instinct has been equated to the sexual instinct in several enneagram spheres. In this episode, Kristen and Valentino watch a video that perfectly illustrates the phrase "one-to-one" and uses it to discuss how it's actually an attachment dynamic driven by the social instinct. The "trifix" is a concept in the enneagram where an individual is not just a single, fixated, core type, but they also have type "fixations" in the other two centers. This video looks at the reality of the trifix by watching three separate people of the same core type but with different "fixes". Typing the dominant instinct in the Enneagram requires observing where a person is being 'taken' as they communicate and attribute specific qualities to their understanding of life. The instincts inhabit various spaces of psychic reality and we understand them best by locating the value, needs, and drive in each one.
