Here it is, the gut buster that made everyone watching this match jump out of their seats and scream holy ####! In this week’s match Dean Malenko delivers the first ever instance of the gut buster off of the top rope and that isn’t even the finish! Tariq and Jim reminisce about the WCW cruiserweight division, discuss why Nick Patrick should be nowhere near this ring and what great chemistry these two had together.
Story building at its finest. In this week’s episode we talk about an often overlooked star studded match. On one side we have Ken Patera, Don Muraco, Paul Orndorff, Bam Bam Bigelow and Hulk Hogan. While on the other side we have Butch Reed, Rick Rude, One Man Gang, King Kong Bundy and Andre The Giant. If you haven’t seen this match it is absolutely worth watching and the finish was a huge surprise to both Jim and Tariq.
"Internet Bullshit" never ceases to amaze as the Bleacher Report somehow found a way to add Edge to its list of the greatest hardcore wrestlers ever! In addition, Tariq talks about a harrowing experience crossing the border to watch this match live. Although Jim was hesitant to do another ECW match after the fiasco in Episode 3, we both agree that this match was well worth revisiting.
In this week’s episode, Tariq and Jim talk about some of the saddest moments in their lives. Tariq talks about losing one of his favorite students due to an unimaginable incident and Jim talks about losing his mom when he was 12. We then discuss our memories of the Owen Hart’s sudden death. This week’s match was a tribute to the memory of Owen Hart as his brother Bret and one of his close friends, Chris Benoit put in one of the best matches WCW had ever seen on Nitro. Don’t expect too many laughs this week.
In this week’s episode, Tariq and Jim talk about wanting to punch people in the face and why and when that happened. The reason why we talk about punching people in the face is because this week’s match features Stan Hansen infamously knocking Vader’s eye out of his head by punching Vader in the face. More amazingly near the finish of this match, Vader throws a near perfect dropkick! That is worth the price of admission itself. Finally, in this week’s Internet Bullshit we talk about the most overrated wrestlers of all time from quite possibly the worst list ever made.
In this week’s episode, we begin by discussing all of the different wrestlers who have used green mist over the years and what our impressions were of each of them. The reason why our intro focused on wrestlers using the green mist is because this week’s episode features probably one of the most famous wrestlers to ever use the green mist, namely The Great Muta. This match is his first defense of the triple crown against All Japan legend Steve “Dr. Death” Williams. This match was a clinic in terms of great story telling and goes to prove that you don’t need lots of action to have great matches. At the end of this week’s episode Tariq puts Jim to the test to see how many of the 63 total nWo members Jim can name. His performance was downright outstanding!
In this week’s episode, Jim tags back in and shares his story of a woman beating the hell out of a man in a street fight. From there we go into a detailed discussion of a 5 star classic according to us. Manami Toyota takes on Aja Kong in a match from the Tokyo Dome that is beyond outstanding, especially for its time.
In this week’s episode Meat and Tariq take a look at an Internet Bullshit report about the worst ever on the mic and this list is extraordinarily ridiculous! From there we look at an indy classic between Ricochet and El Generico held at PWG’s Death To All But Metal show. This match is a must watch for anyone new to indy wrestling.
Since the Internet Bullshit segments have been such a hit, this week’s episode is a look back at internet bullshit segments from Episode 21, 25, 27 and 28. In Episode 21, we reviewed the list of greatest wrestling commentators of all-time, in Episode 25, we reviewed the list of greatest wrestling tag teams of all time, in Episode 27, we reviewed the greatest wrestlers to have ever worked for the McMahon family and in Episode 28, we reviewed the greatest match of all time.
This week Meat had to tag out so Tariq and Mike take a look at a rather unusual match from Puerto Rico in 1986. One of us liked the match, one of us wasn’t impressed. Tariq talks about how Terry Funk’s WWF debut petrified him and how his perception of Terry Funk changed over time.
