Derek Bodner of Sixers Beat and the Daily Six newsletter returned to the podcast to discuss the Sixers disastrous 0-3 start. Originally I asked Bodner to come on the podcast to talk me off the ledge when the Sixers lost their opening games to the Celtics and Bucks (good teams!) but we both assumed they would beat the tanking Spurs (bad team!) so at least we would have something positive to talk about. Of course that did not happen! We talked about many things that are ailing the team right now including Joel Embiid's slow start and foot injury, the new pieces not fitting together on either end, and rotational changes that can be made (Free B-Ball Paul 2.0?) but we mainly discussed Doc Rivers job status and whether he is actually on the hot seat right now. We wrapped up the episode talking about potential Doc Rivers replacement's if he is fired, what it would take for the Sixers to move on from Doc and whether we think it would be an internal or external hire and of course we touched on Bill Simmons comments on Joel Embiid wanting to play for the Knicks because of his former agents running the team. Enjoy!
